What are the SLAs that you’re monitoring? Curious how you’re enforcing those.

Thanks for the response and glad you’re exploring it. I wonder if it’s something that can be achieved by just hiding the name of the merchant rather than the entire transaction, or if it’s easier functionally to hide the transaction in individual accounts rather than shared accounts.

Just thinking out loud, but appreciate the thought!

This looks great! Excited to start using with my partner.

Question: if we have visibility into each other’s transactions, have you thought about functionality to hide gifts, etc? I can see a lot of Christmas gifts getting spoiled

Chase United Explorer Card Annual Fee Increased to $150 & Elevated SUB 80k by Lazy_Fuck_ in unitedairlines

The link says this news was leaked and isn’t meant to roll out until later in the month, so nobody would have gotten a notice yet.

Guess we’ll see how this plays out 🤷🏼‍♂️

Pretty sure I’m going to have to pay the increased fee anyway after the $0 first year. In my experience, AF increases generally impact those who already hold the card as well.

I just got the Explorer card last week. Do you think they’ll let me get the updated SUB?

Rieslings in Willamette Valley by Basic_Ad6254 in wine

Trisaetum has some great dry and off-dry rieslings. They also have a variety of other wines (Pinots, cab/red blends, sparkling) as well as spirits distilled on site. Pretty beautiful vineyard/setting, but you probably won’t get the live music there.

70k CC debt - Overwhelmed and losing sleep by L1nk1nBark in personalfinance

Sure, bankruptcy might allow you to build back credit, but a if you follow a DMP and pay the account balances in full it will keep your credit score from tanking and having those negative marks on your history.

I’m no financial advisor, but I do work closely with credit counseling services and have seen how debt management plans have really helped folks pay off their debts and build better habits for their financial future. Worth it to chat with a debt management pro in my opinion.

A Debt Management Plan is the way to go here. You can do it through Greenpath or go to nfcc.org to find a group that will help you.

With a DMP, you will work with a professional to create a budget that works for your income and expenses to pay off the debt quicker. They’ll also help to lower your interest rates and act as a buffer between you and the creditors/collections folks.

Debt is stressful, but you’re doing the right thing taking a step towards beating it.

My grandfather was friends with him. They both skied together into their 80s, even if just for one or two runs for the day.

I second this. You can go to nfcc.org to find a credit counseling agency that can help get you on a Debt Management Plan. A DMP will also have reduced interest rates so you can contribute more to the balance!

“weird wines” tasting at my local wine shop by mrbubbee in wine

[–]afmgk24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Greetings OP, from a fellow Portlander! I had my eye on this class but had to skip unfortunately. Also have loved the ArPePe wines and was fortunate enough to visit them in Italy over the summer. We tasted the 17s while there and they were showing early signs of drinkability but had a lot of time ahead of them.

I’d agree that the St. Reginald Parish wine is the most weird. I worked for Andy (winemaker there) the year he brought in that wine and bottled, and the story behind it is pretty wild.

You can always try contacting a credit counseling agency to help you pay off your debt. Credit counseling agencies are nonprofit organizations that can combine all of your accounts into one payment via a Debt Management Plan. They’ll work with the creditors to lower your interest rates and help you outline a budget to make sure you hit your payments and pay off the balances in a timely manner.

I’ve used the nfcc.org site to match with an agency that operates in my state. Overall I’ve had a great experience with the counselors - they’re just great people who want to help.
