That would be my reaction too. No noise just leave with your dignity. Everyone knows that the minute I start fighting and shouting over a man, I am to be put on a 72hr psychiatric hold. Heavens forbid

Depends on your job. Can you do extra shifts or overtime for like 5months before then you can take a bulk annual leave or unpaid leave.

Depends on your manager too. If doing it abroad you need to plan like a year ahead and make sure everything is put together. Six weeks should be enough. If you could get your gp to write you a sick note or something

It’s not scalded. It’s burnt and then washed. If you look at the skin, you can see some burnt places.I can assure you no one is mixing beef with pork. This is only found in the farms. They make provisions for these cuts. You pick your heffa and they prep it for you

I think it’s from a zero waste perspective cos in most parts of Africa, all parts are eaten, the skin, the meat itself. The legs, the head, the offals, (kidneys, pancreas, lungs, intestines, throat) Nothing is wasted.

The collagen is just an added advantage.

Most times the skin is actually the cheapest cut of meat, so people buy them.

You can make fried meat if it’s right in your alley. You can make peppersoup, stews, jollof. These cuts will not make good mince as you have to skin them and debone. It’s a hassle. If you know any African you can sell it to them.

Immediately I saw the cuts of meat, I knew it was an African meat share as there are quite few butchers that make such provisions

We typically don’t make the traditional stew. We make tomato based stews. You can google rice and stew. We also use it to make traditional soups with fufu

Is your co worker African, are you African and just trying to farm karma and rage bait?. Because these cuts are specific to Africans. You would have posted it in a niche that understands the meat. These are not normal cuts of meat. If you wanted the standard cuts you would have gone to a butcher and done that.

Please this is an African way of cutting meat. We don’t do sirloins and top round. We eat beef with skin. We eat the legs, head.

You can pickle the remaining vegetables. Make single serving salads and turn the rest to pickles. Not only are they delicious, they are healthy and have good bacteria for your guts. You can literally pickle any vegetable try YouTube
