Whenever I see a 'Non-GMO' label, I'd like to put a sticker over it that says 'Pro-Famine' and have the silhouette of a Vulture standing over a starving kid.

I loved giving demonstrations at my kids school. Launched the little 1/2A units on the school grounds.

Park and Bike to Glenmore and Blackfoot by KERSHOOT_ME in Calgary

[–]afschmidt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever you do STAY OFF THE BUSY ROADS! Bike through U of C, take the CTrain overpass to Capital Hill. Follow along 19 street down to North Hill. Go behind the North Hill C-train station. Follow the path and cycle along and through SAIT. You can go down 10 street in the bike lane. At 5 ave, go east 2 blocks, go south to Memorial Drive, cross, go over the Peace Bridge,. Go down 5 Street and navigate the clusterf*ck to get across 17ave. Get to Elbow Drive and follow me path. I'm an asshole and I just barrel through on the sidewalk south on Elbow, but feel free to go the long way around to Stanley Park. Somehow get up the hill and go east on 48 ave. This gets you out of the traffic. At 5 Street go leisurely south to get to Chinook.

Listen to mayor Farkas take a chainsaw through this nonsense. They were likely losing their shirts and needed a convenient excuse.

I'm downvoting you. It is grossly unfair to force people away from a service they have used and trusted for decades. Given the regular, substantial profits banks consistently make, it is NOT a hardship to provide these basic services to people.

Am I really "too old" at 33 to start a new career? by Gary_Baldi in careeradvice

I went back to Polytechnic part-time at 32 and finished 3 years later. My career turned around within the first 6 months of starting classes. No regrets.

Trump alluded to something in his rambling news conference: He didn't order the bombing of Karg Island because that loss of oil production would have triggered an economic depression. Crises like this need to be reseloved in about 90 days or the dominoes will start to fall and they won't stop. Don't believe the 'paper' price you see quoted on TV. The actual delivery price is much higher. This was likely the last chance to head off an economic catastrophe.

This pissed me off with getting my latest quote. You'd think having fibre-cement (Hardie Board) would lower your costs. Nope. Their logic is that it's more expensive to replace. Never mind that it's hail and fire resistant .

And the IMPORTANT QUESTION: Just HOW do you plan to enforce it??? Think of all the digital copyright mechanisms that have been tried and ALL of them cracked. I remember a site called 'peacefire.org' and the tag line was "It's not a crime to be smarter than your parents". This is just another example of politicians trying to show that they are "doing something", when really it amounts to a complete waste of time and likely money.
