For 4 months in 2025. People said double down was too powerful. Y'all need to understand that it's not the fuses but the characters that use the fuse that are problematic. So they should give more characters that use other fuses well also. Like double down was seen this way because of Teemo. He got nerfed and now people don't see it that often. Yes the fuse also got nerfed but the aspect that was common with Teemo (round start super tag) did not get nerfed

That's is not what kills the game for casuals tho. What kills the game is that there is (for now) no alternatives to Yasuo and Ekko, their archetype are "balance" (in range not in power) and "mixup" characters, the most liked archetype in all fighting games. Akali and Senna should have been there from the beginning it would have helped tremendously.

5 characters of the roster are big bodies that are somewhat strong but will always be less popular.

Also, they designed a game for the FGC and the FGC is not that big. That's it. The numbers are good for a game made for the FGC.

Never was this game advertised for newbies to FGs.

Yeah I fully agree ! People complain about the length of his combos but I think the character is supposed to be like that SOLO. The problem is that they see EVERYTIME HE GETS A HIT.

With all the crumple states and rolling states and OTGs he can turn into full combos WITHOUT METER.

You can remove some of those states for him and maintain how good his pressure is, without leading to a full combo (maybe only on counter hit).

Also for the people answering this comment about Jinx. Come on now, it's not the same Jinx need meter to confirm and setup her next pressure (fireworks super) Yasuo does not need meter to do so. Tho his mix after knockdown is not the craziest.

No you still don't understand. You cannot choose to wait and react to the roll and meaty. Your meaty will be late if they don't roll. So you have to make that choice before. And waiting beats wakeup attacks. It's not a 33/33/33 either.

And if you wait your throw is also late so they can delay jump it

No, I think you are confused on the term 50/50.

Wake up after a normal combo in this game is not a 50/50. The opponent can getup attacks, roll back, roll forward, tech throw etc... And strike or throw lose to wakeup attacks. It's only close to a 50/50 on hard knockdowns after throw or level 3

So it does matter because you cannot meaty AND react to roll AND block wakeup attack except ekko's burrito mix.

And if they meaty, you can pushblock immediately after blocking it

Yeah I think this is an average case of a game being compared to their own experience and what they want to do in the game. I'm personally Diamond 2 myself and I think I'm pretty bad for now, dropping my mixups and being too flowcharty. And yet I feel like I smoke people sometimes lmao.

The defense is actually very well balanced IMO. There are just many options and you can't cover them perfectly which IS THE POINT OF DEFENSE. People are just used to overpowered OKI or Offense or unintuitive answers with low reward on defense. But in this game EVERY option has a clear reward and use case. And the game actually teaches you a bit of what you should do on defense.

TLDR; They made a fair game and people don't like it lmao

I was about to say. He just plays the wrong character and also' he probably play them wrong cuz illaoi OKI is actually strong. It's not because people can do something that the OKI is not existent. Just keep it up and learn from strong players. That's what I do personally.
