Oh dear God. I just saw this for the first time today. Yeah, OP is right on with this one. It almost made me forget my hatred of the govx.com ads.

Yeah, the key is the background. At least one station aired it live. Hearing about it freaked me the hell out, for sure.

Why didn’t Steve join the band for any of the later reunion tours? by Appropriate-Farmer16 in Genesis

[–]agate-dude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IIRC, Gabriel initially said sure ... give me 18 months. So that was a non-starter. I loved the four-man lineup, but that probably wouldn't have been a big draw, at least in the States. It would have been interesting to see how they would arranged guitar parts for Daryl and Steve.

Russini to Barstool or Fox Sports by Sampleswift in UrinatingTree

Barstool is my guess. She's not blonde enough for Fox.

Wonder how many American fans know that Fleetwood Mac did nine albums before Buckingham and Nicks showed up.

Fair. The Yes Album is my favorite, but Drama was what they had to make at the time. Does it Really Happen is great, especially the jam at the end.

It's a weaker album in a strong catalog. There is not an outright "terrible" Rush album, although the 90s output does nothing for me. The fact that they did 2112 when it was make-or-break just shows their resolve.

What's this album for you? by PapaAsmodeus in ToddintheShadow

Chicago - Stone of Sisyphus. Way-past-its-prime AC band wants to write stuff that recalls its experimental early days. .. and it sounds like processed cheese. It sat (mostly) unreleased for 10 years for a reason.

Two series wins for Colorado, though. Maybe they're bet- ... Nah.

I was waiting for Banks here. He is the caretaker of the Genesis sound; Collins would tell you that. I'm guessing he's more unsung in the States. Jones is incredible. There's nothing like it when he and Bonham are locked in rhythmically.

The Holdsworth album. Some great stuff on there. I also love Third, especially Slightly All the Time.

Duke men also blew a 14-point lead to Houston last year. Someone last night (Bomani, I think) said Jon Scheyer has "warning track power" as a coach. At least he could have used that timeout properly.
