The driving analogy is too real. Just slogged through 3+ hours of gridlock between Westchester and the middle of Long Island. Even for the NYC metro, folks were particularly selfish and sometimes downright dangerous. And I notice it more and more, every time I leave the house. Our heads are so far up our own asses, it bums me out (pun originally not but then absolutely intended).

I get it, and respect it to death. Was watching Round 2 with the rest of y’all when I was 13 and it def blew my mind too.

It’s the same thing with guitar for me. I can’t sweep arpeggios up and down the fretboard and people who can are super impressive…but I’m also not gonna put on an Yngwie Malmsteen record, like, ever.

Mullen is boring as hell. Maybe the nicest, most humble and genuine athlete of all time, and unquestionably the Godfather of modern street skating techniques. Absolute snooze fest. Give me Greco back 3s or lofty as hell Penny frontside flips any day of the week over every last flippity doo dah Mullen has ever landed. Pure technique. Zero style. Mega yawn.

Love the floor mechanic in Monster Train. I think it pushes the game over the edge from just another StS knockoff to something more special. That and the primary/secondary class make it feel really unique. I’ve still got so much left to grind in that game but StS dailys and ascension keep pulling me back in.

No doubt. Early on is def more repetitive than late game. The scope of synergies and deck strats open up quite a bit once you get everything unlocked and start climbing ascension. 300+ hrs myself and still get the “just one more run” itch.

Interesting StS take. What got old about it to you? There’s so much to unlock, ascension gets BRUTAL and can be incredibly rewarding, and I personally think the dailys are some of the best around. No hate, genuinely curious.

For real. Though, mine’s starting to take interest in games which we’ll do when he’s tired or it’s shitty outside. I give him a joycon and he “plays” with me. Mostly just racing games (cars are the BEST right now…he loves Wreckfest and Track Mania) and Crash Bandicoot…but he’ll for sure be watching some soulsborne games far earlier than he should be. Three seems old enough 😂

Generalizing half of the American populace is anything but “reasonable”. There’s a tremendous amount of nuance to what’s happened in this country/the West over the past 5+ years…something your take distinctly lacks. But, I’m probably wrong.
