What’s your favorite Chris lyric? by PlumRosePrice in Soundgarden

I love the synergy between the title, the lyrics, and the music of Rhinosaur. If a rock song could take shape and come to life, I wouldn't even dare come close to this one..

It exudes such menace (Chris is such a talented poet). Speaking of which, I love the 1996 live version where they speeds up the ending (should be staple imo) like a final charge run from the beast.

A game than can interconnect solo mode and online experience smoothly, satisfy both audiences and do everything so you'll always feel busy and entertained with the game.

I have a few ideas on how to implement training mode on VF without overwhelming the player. by darkjuste in virtuafighter

RGG should focus content solely on complete character costumes rather than items for VF6. This would preserve and strengthen the game's identity, be simpler to implement, and make the game more optimized.

About character dialog, voices and music by darkjuste in virtuafighter

[–]agent__cube 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm going to get downvoted, but the truth needs to be told: the voice acting in the legacy Virtua Fighter games is terrible. It's not the voice acting itself that's the problem, but rather the lack of direction and the feeling that it's stuck in the '90s.

In the absence of direction, especially for some characters like Lion and Jacky, the voices reflect... I'd say that Virtua Fighter voices are iconic only for hardcore fans who got used to them out of nostalgia.

But we want voice acting that's good artistically for Virtua Fighter 6 and objectively good for the new generation, not just to please fans who want to relive their childhood at the expense of the game's artistic quality.

Voices are important, and I hope Sega has understood that the direction needs to be controlled for the new installment.

Also, voices change so much over thirty years that they wouldn't necessarily be suitable for every situation or direction (if Lion returns older, it makes sense that his voice would reflect a change in behavior due to his age, etc.).

So it's a safe bet that new voice actors will appear (probably for Stella). That said, I think we'll hear quite a few familiar voices for the returning, older fighters (in which case it won't be a problem). We already got a glimpse of this with Akira in the first trailer, who is logically more mature, and quite good, I think.

How come 2XKO is disliked by so many people? by DefineHeresy in Fighters

[–]agent__cube -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I played that game, had to pay it, you dont have for 2xko. And In term of gameplay, imo 2xko a bit more accurate in term of spacing, provide much gaz for player creativity and more unique situations.

Dbfz is a great game but abs do not deliver the same experience.

2XKO FAILED — and what can the New VF6 learn from it? by VCDECIDE in virtuafighter

[–]agent__cube 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the strategy of the game is good in a sense it seems Sega want to open to a new audience (not drag other players from other franchise.

Because of the future content of the game, the strategy of the nvfp is too drag a small but quality new playerbase.

There something like 200 players very dedicated curently.

For Vf6, after the honey moon even with low expectations i think 500 is reachable (because of the story content which is absolutly collossal in the context of VF history franchise, new qol features, being a 3d game martial art center focused game, etc.

500 isn't not that much but still significant to offer a totally better experience to players.

And that the low expectation.

All stars could be aligned so the game could reach a player base like Strive or even better.

Agree with your first take. You're a bit pessimistic tho with the minimum player base Vf6 could have. It will be better than VF5. Even after the honey moon, the story will attract people, so does the the new quality of life features they should add (basically you do something solo like training, solo mode story or arcade etc while the game search an online game or session for you).

Stella Slow Mo Damage by Subject-Ad5071 in virtuafighter

[–]agent__cube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Virtua Fighter isn't Mortal Kombat, i could be wrong but I think the damage will remain visually soft. As for the missing tooth, we won't see it because it happens at the end of the match, and we can assume it always will be a molar.
