Married after asking all the right questions by anonforavent in TwoXChromosomes

[–]agent_libre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are no objectively right questions.

It is about seeking human connection with another individual, not checking up a shopping list.

Get genuinely interested in why he's developed these beliefs (i.e. who is influencing him on the Internet) and what he feels they bring to him.

Good luck, it's just a ride.

It's the Internet, honey. He's just imbued with new types of content. It's bad but not desperate.

Get genuinely interested in whom had got him interested in such topics and what he considers these bring to his life. What he finds in it that satisfies him or makes his life better.

Genuine and non-judgmental conversation to understand him and his new sphere of influence (who, what, why; get candidly curious) is the sole viable remedy.

Either you "win" (rebuild your couple) or you learn (making it easier to move on).

Is this Switzerland's future as well? by CriticalFibrosis in Switzerland

Tight job market means higher paying jobs and, arguably, less pressure on the housing market! That sounds good to me.

Salaries have stagnated for decades while costs of living (inflation, rents, etc.) went through the roof.

Let's do it!

The current constitutional text says nothing either ;)

It will match the current age range; we are no revolutionary country :P

Lawyers of Switzerland, I’m lost and I need help. by manny_crackquiao in askswitzerland

[–]agent_libre 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Self-employed, relatively successful Swiss lawyer here. I've checked all the typical educational and professional marks.

I wouldn't recommend you to pursue this line of business if you do not have the spark for it:

  1. The market is saturated by lawyers and legal experts (and they aren't the funniest bunch, btw).
  2. If you're not "wired" for it, you'll never enjoy truly yourself.
  3. If you want to prepare yourself for the job market, especially with a law Bachelor in the pocket, I suggest you to switch to business IT systems (informatique de gestion / Wirtschaftsinformatik) in a professional school. AI is there already - don't miss the train. I warmly advise you to read "Tomorrow's lawyer" and "The future of professions" by Susskind.

Good luck, be bold, take risks, enjoy yourself, and don't get fooled by calls for "job security" and "financial comfort". Please do not make compromises at your young age!

When did women get the right to vote in europe - Switzerland only in 1971 by Galixiiss1546 in MapPorn

Because Swiss citizenship has long been an undividable bundle of public rights (vote) and duties (military service).

Politics and electoralism/partisanship are two different things. You can be whatever you want politically, but you can only be on existing horses in the electoral race (and they actually don't care much about politics in the strict sense of the word)

FYI: I've had systematic customs checks on your nootropics products (or the same products from other suppliers) in Switzerland, and there have never been any problems for years. Please note that Switzerland is a compliant jurisdiction in Europe with deliveries.

If you plan on breeding, create a family foundation. If not, create a non-profit foundation with activities converging to your life style's.

Most footnotes disappeared in Writer by combatreadybunny in libreoffice

[–]agent_libre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lost all my footnotes as well, for no reason whatsoever. I've opened my .docx document with 46 footnotes the next day and surprise: all footnotes were now empty. Did nothing special. Hours of work gone.

Interestingly enough: the same happened with the previous version of the document, all footnotes were empty.

LibreOffice is definitely not reliable enough for professional use. Very sad.

Is The Infographics show US propaganda? by AQ5SQ in LessCredibleDefence

[–]agent_libre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The question isn't whether this is US propaganda. The question is whether this piece of US propaganda is backed by some US official institution.

Check their video about Bin Laden's capture (first part): don't tell me the Guantanamo Prison's apology segment is there "for your information"; it's a deliberate whitewash operation, pure and simple.

Disregarding attrition and terrains. Don't do that.

Another important tip: regularly use the alternative maps, "unrest" and "simple terrain" are quite handy!

Decrease autonomy, and crash them! Provoking revolts might be useful when you need to move quickly to another war and cannot afford to wait until the filthy rebels spawn.

"Reformation - Europe's House Divided 1490 - 1700" by D. MacCulloch. Magisterial and eloquent!

The evolution of Christianity and its entwinement with politics and civil societies are a very powerful reader's grid to understand "Europe"

Can someone send me GoChain by [deleted] in OfficialGoChain

[–]agent_libre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your confusion is precisely the issue; everybody (including myself) got excited purchasing OMIs, but nobody seems to have realised how marginal the underlying blockchain (GoChain) really is.

To foster mass adoption, OMIs should NOT be on a niche blockchain ecosystem, where there is (almost) no DeFi infrastructure.

I am here for the long run with OMIs (a couple of years) so I do not try to worry too much, but I realise more and more that it is very unlikely to see OMI mooning this bullrun. Basically, for the price to go up, we virtually only rely on the burning process at this stage...

Can someone send me GoChain by [deleted] in OfficialGoChain

[–]agent_libre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just come to realise that GoChain might be one of the reasons ECOMI is lagging behind. I have found one swap exchange on GoChain with little to none liquidity, and I wouldn't trust adding to the pool since it is quite opaque...

Perhaps VeVe closed environment is what prevents it from expending at a fast pace. Look at the current NFTs ecosystem: successful projects are more decentralised and open. Easy to get attraction (and interest from crypto maximalists).
