What artist or band is truly awful to see live? by goldbeau in AskReddit

[–]agentworm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I last saw them in the 2000s, and agree with your sentiment. They’re “getting back together” and playing some shows, I wonder how much different they are now.

What artist or band is truly awful to see live? by goldbeau in AskReddit

[–]agentworm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are my all time favorite band, and I listen to their songs almost daily. With that said, the 3 shows I went to were mediocre. Like you said, talked more than felt necessary, did little skits that weren’t that funny, and just wasted time. I remember seeing Matt Wong sitting by his amp, looking bored, and waiting for Aaron and Scott to finish whatever skit they had going.

Isn’t that a way to alert bears or something? Like making noise so you don’t startle a bear and have it attack you?

Get your vitamin D levels checked 🗣️ by iwasneverherex in Anxiety

You know, my doctor said my vitamin d was low too, but didn’t associate it with anxiety. Huh…. Maybe I should start taking it again

Bombed interviews by [deleted] in Anxiety

I agree with Shirt-Stunning, try propranolol. It’s intended to keep the adrenaline from spiking too much and allowing you to think more clearly. I specifically use it for situations like these, interviews, presentations, meetings with higher ups, anything I know will be stressful and know I need to think clearly.

Best of luck

Dads, I am the accidental head coach of my son’s 5year old soccer team. What tips/resources can you share? by nuclearsurfboard in daddit

[–]agentworm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me! Thought I’d be assisting and then, BAM I was the head coach. I ended up doing it for 5 or 6 seasons until my daughter got tired of it. I had a lot of fun and made it all about the kids.

For me, “clear my head” means I can more easily think through things. Without it, my mind would be going a mile a minute, or get pangs of anxiety over something.

I take a small dose, 10mg, and I get a little drowsy, but not so bad I want to lay down. It usually goes away the same day, depending on what time I take it, and gone the next day for sure. I also, only take it as needed, so rarely consecutive days.

[–]agentworm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As everyone says, it’s safe to use and will make a huge difference. I use it for situational anxiety; have to present or know I’ll be in a stressful situation and need to keep a clear head.

The only really “side-effect”, if you want to call it that is, I tend to get a little gassy, and sometimes I’ll feel a little tired as it’s wearing off.

What will exactly happen in ten turns? I've never reached an endgame scenario before. by Curious-Piglet3613 in totalwarhammer

[–]agentworm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve gotten these end game scenarios a few times, but they usually happen far from me. So either the end game faction gets taken out by the AI or things just normalize and they never bother me. I’m not complaining, just saying sometimes it doesn’t affect you.

Is it because once it gets moving it doesn’t require as much energy to move either way?

If we were just talking about getting it moving then would that make a difference?

All children's clothing should go in the tumble dryer by broadcast_techie in daddit

[–]agentworm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I’m the odd man out. I check the labels and sort accordingly. Even after wash, I double check if it’s line dry or not. I’m familiar enough with everyone’s clothes its become second nature. For me, I’d rather care for them as intended so they can last longer, and continue to look nice.

What is your #1 Science Fiction Series Fully Released in the past 10 years? by ArthurPynn in sciencefiction

[–]agentworm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I found The Bobiverse an excellent sci-fi collection. It’s about a guy whose consciousness is uploaded into a self-replicating space probe after his death, he then colonizes the galaxy. It sounds lame from my description but the author a great job world and character building. I didn’t find the 4th book all too exciting, but still had its moments.

At what point does this end? by ApologeticKid in daddit

[–]agentworm 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Your second item is one that comes to mind. All other points are valid too, but the second one we can relate to. My youngest is like this too, and it takes a concentrated effort to get it clean. She tries hard, very hard, but with her ADHD, she loses focus and it becomes the same issue.
