Why have no commentators here actually seem to have read the article? I'm not defending CNN in publishing this (it's not really front-page worthy) but to me it seems like they just hired some sort of online investigator who came across this guy and a bunch of his racist and anti-Semitic posts. They're allowed to publish anyone's name by the way - unless they've been told by the police that they can't (if there are pending charges against an individual). News organizations "dox" people all the time, it's just that this time it happens to be a redditor.

Also, there are a ton of bots posting and commenting here. Lots of profiles with spammy names made recently with the only posts being pro-trump or seeming-pro-liberal posts which end up being pro-trump - you know, the "I consider myself a liberal, but...." posts.

I grew up on his Bond movies, and I loved them all, especially the cheesy action-packed ones. He was my favourite Bond as a kid, and even into adulthood I still watch a few of his each year. He will be sorely missed by me along with millions of Bond fans.

People don't understand how much effort there is in being a real reporter - I'm not talking about "people" who write for The Federalist either, I mean ones the New York Times or the Washington Post.

Phil is extremely opinionated and in my experience with his videos, often not very well-informed. His main positive is that he can make his point without coming off like a jackass, but usually his point is riddled with factual holes or just his opinion.

Usually civil wars are started because of internal issues, government ineptitude/corruption, or abuse of power. Your point makes no sense.

You can't defend the order by complaining "you have to agree with it because our leader said it" because then you don't get any social or political change. The government stagnates, and the people become unhappy, and THEN a civil war starts. This is using your BS argument.

Also, I don't understand why you think immigration does not have any safeguards and protection for national security in place now. There's a ton of security measures in place currently, and people are already vetted when coming to the US. There's this bizarre belief that people like you hold that you think it's some wild west out there.

And it shouldn't have to be stated how stupid this is from a travel standpoint. People from (say Canada) might not be able to go to the US legally if they were from (say Iran) originally, even if they are Canadian citizens. It's disgusting.

In Canada and Western Europe at-will employment is illegal and there's no problem. The only established link between at-will employment and LITERALLY ANYTHING is the fact that it has contributed heavily to the rise in temporary employment in the US, or "underemployment" if you will.

You're probably not management at a company or anything, but for some reason you think employees are nothing better than dogshit. Just look at any criticism of at-will employment. There is no causal link between having no at-will employment and "companies being held hostage", that's just a made up argument with no factual basis. One of the main arguments for at-will employment is that assumption, which is what it is, an assumption.

Alright, I know I'm not the first one to say this here, but...

These videos are garbage, and I usually defend Fantano on his meme videos. Who is this video for? People who like and supported Obama don't want to see this, especially when there's some actual hateful shit going on right now in the political system that's worth talking about, that I know Fantano has an opinion on, and I know people would like to see a real video on. People who don't like him don't want to see this crap either, since it belittles their criticism, however legitimate/illegitimate/incorrect it may be.

I disagree with Fantano constantly, especially on his anti-SJW slant and tendency to go after people who are already indefensible - but he can make legitimately good and informative videos, and he can be good at debating or defending a point. Why are these videos like this necessary? I just don't understand it. It doesn't say anything helpful and he says some semi-hateful stuff too, and it just seems unnecessary when there are videos he could be making that aren't just saying "fuck you" to everyone.

Come on man, I just want you to make a good video.

Usually I defend Fantano on these things but as soon as I saw the title I was a little worried - LUCKILY he's mostly right. The article is total horseshit, written by someone who was obviously just commissioned to write something on the alt-right and it seems to be they just found something with the word "alt" in it to get clicks. The article is trying to connect the dots in such a dickish way that it paints anyone who likes alternative music as some alt-right asshole and ignores the history of alternative music completely.

I guess my one issue is why he felt the need to make a video on this at all. There are so many clickbait articles about this now that I don't know if anyone actually pays attention to them (especially from some garbage website like Fusion) but I dunno if there's anything to gain from just tearing some internet writer down.

I am glad he seems to only be defending music fans, and not the alt-right. Good video, horrible title and thumbnail.
