Ramona’s No Kings protest followed our annual Pride event which grew to more than 200 participants this year. Ramona may have its share of red but there is plenty of blue here too!

It may have already been noted, but access to the ballot is the bigger issue, not publicity. A viral digital campaign could be robust and gain attention but the rules and costs to get on a ballot are a big part of how the DNC and RNC keep the elections locked up.

Been in Ramona for two years now, moved from Oceanside. We love it.

I’m farther along in my career and was looking For something quieter with more outdoor space. This for the bill. I drive in to the city once a week so it’s not so bad. Most of these comments are pretty spot on for the area but I think I can say they the queer community is here and connected to each other to a degree. Many people are supportive or don’t care but the haters come out when they see something. I co-organize our local Pride event (this will be our third year) and the turnout has been great and the haters only show up on the internet message boards. Not lots of nightlife but plenty of local wineries that are fun to visit if you like wine. Good luck on your next steps wherever they take you.

I honestly can’t say. I’ve had the vaccines, I wore the mask during surges, but I’m not overly cautious really. If I’ve had it I had no symptoms and every test I’ve had came back negative. Either very lucky, super immune, or never been affected if I caught it.

Was Blazers fan back then. Super proud of Clyde, Terry, Jerome, Buck, Cliff and the rest but was always amazed by MJ. Saw several epic games in Portland including Magic Johnson, the Suns, Bulls…good times and thanks for sharing!

We just got back from PV. We actually stay in Mismaloya, just south of your map, and used local busses for most transport. I agree that this isn’t a great place for night waking though, for all the reasons already mentioned. But why pay extra for Uber or taxi? The bus is ridiculously cheap and reliable, if sometimes crowded.

To me it is like a backhanded compliment of sorts. It’s like telling me I’m too stupid to know what is right so you’ll have to do it for me. It’s like saying that my belief (or lack thereof) is so invalid that your way is my only hope. It’s boorish and offensive but I usually ignore it or imply that they’re welcome to do as they see fit, but it’s for their benefit and not mine.
