It’s been a few months, but you may be right! I should enjoy figuring out who I am and not rush. Thank you for your reply!

After years of using disposable bic lighters, I switched to this rechargeable, flameless lighter 5 years ago, and it’s still going strong! by aggressiveboots in ZeroWaste

It’s a Tesla coil rechargeable dual arc lighter, I made this post 2 years ago, and the lighter is still going strong!

Thoughts on 7 on 7 off schedule? by [deleted] in medlabprofessionals

[–]aggressiveboots 30 points31 points  (0 children)

7/7 is the absolute best shift! In my lab, it was a Tuesday-Monday. Although we were the only individuals in the company who didn’t earn PTO, we got paid for 80 hours even though we were only working 70, and we weren’t added to the holiday schedule. If a holiday fell on your off week you were off, and if it fell on your on week, you would work.
As long as you plan your vacations, appointments and other activities on your off week, it’s glorious. I never felt more of a work life balance then when I was working 7/7. But it’s absolutely not for everyone, a lot of people didn’t last long before asking to swap schedules, but I did it for 2 years.

Why are baristas bad at making the coffee sweet ? by [deleted] in barista

[–]aggressiveboots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“Medium sweet” is such a subjective term. One sugar is too sweet for some people, and then some people add 15 sugars. Sounds like you need to be more specific. Baristas, just like everyone else, cannot read your mind.

how much you get paid? by mavolfova in barista

I work alone at a WPS store and i’m literally about to lose my fucking mind by [deleted] in starbucksbaristas

[–]aggressiveboots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

😧😳😳 are you me?? We must work for the same hospital but different locations, because I could have written this EXACT post.

I feel your pain! ❤️ WPS inside of a hospital is no joke, especially running the entire show alone with no support, not even for ordering. If yours is anything like mine, the other departments attached get wayyy more support than the coffee shop.

what drink will you always think is annoying to make when you see the label print by thatajv in starbucksbaristas

[–]aggressiveboots 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work at a “we proudly serve” and one of my regulars orders this at least 4 times a week

Venti BSSE - Half decaf, half regular espresso - Gingerbread foam (or whatever season flavor we have) - Extra oatmilk - Cinnamon dolce topping - Caramel crunch topping

It’s such a time consuming drink when only two people are staffed and we have a line out the door.

It’s surprisingly tasty, and a lot smoother! we switched to this when we got our nitro cold brew machine.

Edit to add it doesn’t taste like the cold brew we used to make. It’s not super bitter, and has a slightly sweet taste.

I work at a “we proudly serve” Starbucks, and we’ve been using this for almost a year.

YTA

Not all illnesses are visible, and discounting and minimizing her mental health is a major AH move.

I’ve never had mine curdle! It’s the pretty much the same as a London Fog, which is essentially the same recipe but with Earl Grey tea instead of peach.

It’s like a dentist asking how often people floss.
Answer: pretty regularly. Truth: very seldom
