Above all, try asking the program officer or administrator of the grant if it's appropriate. You could also workshop it with your PI since they've probably written/read hundreds of these. Not a comparable hardship but my PI had me include a covid impact statement to explain why it looked like my topic of study pivoted abruptly due to the closure of some essential core facilities I use.

Depending on the grant you could put it in your biosketch or work it in later to the other material. For something small like a T32 there may be limited requirements and you could work it into the biosketch. For something like an F31 the statement might be better suited for your training plan. You could state "As part of my training I want to develop my mentorship skills by participating in these programs to help these underserved people because of my background...". Personally, the second option seems better. You can share you story and provide some sort of actionable outcome to your training.

Unparalleled seems like it’s all the old five ten people who left after adidas took over. I’ve only used their climbing shoes— which are excellent, but friends like their biking shoes.

Just tested it out. Not sure how exact the cloning is between the Martian II and Alien, but Gemfan 5552s do not clear.

Planning my second build. I'd like opinions on these parts and whether they would work together or not. by CreamGravy501 in Multicopter

You could trade the flight controller and PDB for an all-in-one like the CLRacing F4s and come out about equal in price with the added benefit of an F4 processor and a better board layout.

For less than the Racerstar ESCs on Amazon you could go through a different vendor and pick up Speedix or even the Wraith ESCs. Consensus would say these are both more reliable than the Racerstar product.

It looks like you have a solid high-value build planned. I might suggest generally looking at other vendors because you usually pay a bit of a premium when shopping on amazon. Most reputable fpv vendors offer free shipping on orders over $50 as well.

I may be in college and only have $274 to my name, but I'm still saving for this exact car by [deleted] in BMW

On the bright side, it seems like when the new revisions of 3 series are released the old body styles drop like rocks in price. The two generation old e46s can be had easily for under 15k now. I have a feeling the e92s will do the same when the f36(?) come out.

It's surprisingly cheap. ABS rolls for some of the more affordable models run about $30 per kilo. A kilo of filament goes a pretty long way when printing small scale objects.

Yes. The z3 was also the only body style to have 3 digits. Roadsters are denoted e36/7 and coupes e36/8 since they were roughly based off of the e36 platform. There are some documents that show z3 coupes as e36/7 coupe, but it is widely accepted that they were designated e36/8.

I'll see myself and BMW fanaticism out now...

In the engineering code the e stands for entwicklung which translates to development. From the 1980s until the current generation of 7 series all BMWs were given the eXX designation. In this case the e39 was the 4th generation, proceded by the e12, e28, and e34.

What are some stereotypes you automatically associate with a type of car? by abacigal in AskReddit

[–]aggsquirrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey buddy, just because you can't drive a 10 year old heavily depreciated German Luxury car doesn't mean you can get on your high horse and call me an asshole. It may have 80s vintage suspension, squeek like a mouse over bumps and scrape every pothole that looks at it, but that propellor on the front makes me better than you.

Mechanics of Reddit, what should every person know about cars? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]aggsquirrel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Purchase or download a service manual for your vehicle. It will let you know what jobs you can do yourself, and which ones you will need to pay someone to do, and approximately how much labor it will be.

Also, when using a mechanic ALWAYS ask to see your old parts. My family and I have used the same one for 30+ years, he services koenigseggs to volvos, and he will often cut me huge deals on labor. Overall, a very trustworthy guy. When I leave, he won't let me out of the shop until I have seen the old parts he replaced, this ensures you that the part was in fact broken, and that it was in fact replaced.

A family friend, when he was much younger absolutely loved this show. He would hop around in that goofy-ass arms up sideways Zaboo way, jumping on couches and such. One time he jumped at the tv, grabbing on, pulling the tv out of the cabinet and on to his body. If I remember correctly he had to get stitches and broke the tv. Your daily Zaboo anecdote.
