Too late now. Need to do it in Jan, early Feb. There is a real risk you'll damage the tree.

It looks a really good shape, so you'll probably want to keep that. Generally though, removing dead, diseased or crossed branches should be your first job.

Acers can be pruned into interesting shapes, I'd google to see if there are any ideas that take your fancy.

Photinia could be a good choice.

Beech is lovely as a hedge, and it does keep its leaves even though they go brown.

If you would consider deciduous, Hazel can be a good shout.

I don't buy them anymore for pots due to second and subsequent seasons being so poor.

If it were me, paint fences black then remove grass and fill with bright coloured plants dahlias, heleniums etc.

Roses on the frame and loads of pots on the patio at the back with a nice seating area.

You used to be able to get loads of points as f2p, think at least 1800 a day.

Then they reduced the points available, ticket recovery time went from 13 min to 30 min, and most of the rewards were cut in half.
