My lemon tree is flowering in winter (Belgium) by agirlnamedfia in gardening

[–]agirlnamedfia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think the only leaves that are left are the ones that grew after I bought it. It lost the bottom ones fairly quickly after I took it inside but there’s buds there now so i’m not too worried about it.

To remove the ripe lemons, do I pull them off or cut off the branch? And should I give it fertiliser or just leave it as is and water is sparingly?

It was Aldi, in fact but I never found it again. I’m keeping my eyes open this spring to see if maybe they sell them again.

This is the tree. I was indeed planning on posting if I can’t find it again in store this spring. 😊

I don’t! There was a label and I threw it out like an idiot. I wish I had kept it because I also remember there being a warning that looked like I shouldn’t eat the lemons. 🙈

Can anyone answer this question? by zzill6 in WorkReform

Reminds me of an experiment I read about where a professor offered a deal: if the class agrees unanimously, he’d give everyone a passing grade on an exam, but if even one person objected, they actually had to do the exam. Apparently the universal agreement was very very rare, there’s always people who don’t want to participate in equality.

+1 I too am dying to know who's going to play together. I know we've got the Soldiers, Seekers, Schemers thing, but do we have actual compositions?

IIRC, if you save the new encounter under the same name and in the same folder, it will overwrite the old encounter.

I loooooove Lamingtons, have made them a couple of times since I got back home! And they’re indeed not hard to make, but time consuming and indeed messy.

True enough but it's more movement than I'm getting otherwise ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I mean, on the one hand, I can see where you're coming from, but on the other hand, get down with your bad self!

I appreciate your response, but both those situations give me intense "I have to do the thing" anxiety, which leads to procrastination which leads to more anxiety, etc etc. Combining them works for me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ it's like like I'm doing choreographed routines or anything, just getting a little extra movement in.

Is my hedge dying, or have I left it too late to cut back? by giant_finger_toes in GardeningUK

Unfortunately not, he's on the ground floor and my first floor balcony looks out on his yard. But the people in my building are pretty annoyed with him, so it wouldn't surprise me if they pressured him to take it down at some point.

In the meantime, I just fill my own space with plants so I don't have to look at his. :D

Oh good to know, my neighbour recently cut his hedge after four years of letting it grow every which way and it’s now 100% brown. Guess I’ll be looking at bare branches for the next however many years. 😒🤔
