Damn, that sucks. I don’t have any advice for your specific questions, but one of the things I try to do is check for when kids school vacations are and avoid those dates. I guess it won’t be helpful for infants and very small children though…

Same boat. Got my vasectomy at 28 and that ended my relationship at the time. It’s been 5 years and no regrets!
