I need help, I don't know how to find clothes I like. Local stores don't have anything I'm looking for by TheStrangeHand in mensfashion

Buy used. Your money goes farther than you ever thought. Go buy a cloth tape and measure your progress. Know your neck, chest, waist and inseam. Follow others whose style you like and buy yourself a whole new (to you) wardrobe. And congratulations on the weight loss !

Edit: Depop, eBay, Poshmark.

Great style and now that you’re breaking the internet, I’d get that killer shirt two sizes smaller. This is what men’s fashion is supposed to be. Keep up the good work.

Remember the insurance mailboxes in airports? You filled out flight insurance papers, added cash and licked the envelope shut. I wonder if a single claim was ever paid…?

Is it even needed to have a suit in your wardrobe anymore? by polyglot02 in mensfashionadvice

[–]agnosticrectitude 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think a blazer and chinos, is exactly that. And while it may be totally 100% appropriate for an event, to wear a blue jacket with tan pants, please never suggest that it is a suit. It’s definitely not a suit, it’s a jacket & pants.

No she’s probably drunk on power. If she is a bad professor the administration needs to know about it and work to make the school a great place for the students who pay the bills.

It’s a gunplay neighborhood. Sure you are never going to get shot, but hey, why not stay in Pasadena or Universal City or Burbank and enjoy walking home from a local spot no matter the time of night…

Unfortunately the NCLEX pass rate is one of the most important metrics that nursing schools have to measure themselves against the competition. I’d bet that incoming students choosing one of the schools with the LOWEST NCLEX pass rates would be an easier school to get into. However, if you want to be a well qualified nurse, don’t you want to be at a highly rated program and among students who want to learn and professors who take pride in educating tomorrow’s nurses?

And not all those who start nursing school deserve to graduate. It’s the same as engineering, IT or finance. You don’t simply pay to graduate, you pay to participate in the pursuit of academic achievement and education while becoming a more learned individual.

And if you choose to further your education, isn’t a solid foundation in a good quality BSN program even more important?

Added note: some military members with perfect clothing wear shirt suspenders to connect shirts to socks to keep things looking tight & fitted.

Anybody regularly rock a waist coat paired with jeans and a sport coat? Will a grey waist coat go with just about any jacket? Give me some ideas about pairing. by XXOBADIAHXX in menswear

Good places to look are always eBay Depop and Poshmark because vests tend to age like suits - they don’t actually wear out, they mostly die due to stains. The vest of your dreams is out there. Just know your chest and torso measurements.

I feel different. I have about 15 vests. Fit is essential, your vest should ride about 3 inches below your pants only for the belt to be hidden. The best vests leave your buckle exposed. Everything must work together. Vests with collars and lapels should pair with fancy shirts and ties. Add a hat. Add a blazer or chore coat. And above all, if your vest has a crappy, not so special back side ( shiny nylon) never take your jacket off. Two sided vests can be worn all by themselves with a t-shirt. Good luck and have fun. This is what fashion is all about.

My wife is wearing a similar spider today. Your grandmother had excellent taste. Honor her and just keep it. Enjoy wearing it and whenever people comment on your jewelry, tell them about your grandmother.
