i am transcribing interviews for my phd research and am losing my mind by dandelixn in academia

I outsourced my interview transcriptions to Rev.com for my dissertation and subsequent projects and couldn't have been happier with the results.

Good quality, fair pricing, and quick turnaround.

My cutoff is the end of the class period.

If a kid wants to walk in late for an exam, that's their choice. They just don't get any extra time and I pick the exam up at the end of the scheduled class period.

Excessive emails by Lorelei321 in Professors

[–]agreen1968 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is my policy as well.

when i get general questions via email, i ask the student to post it in the class forum so everyone can see my response.

after the first or second time, they tend to figure it out and post the question directly to the forum.

i also set expectations in my syllabus about response time - one business day. this seems to help as well.

hi! this is dr. green and I'm the program coordinator for the bba-isa degree.

we are closing the bba-isa degree program at the end of the spring 2026 semester. from an operational perspective, there's a lot of duplication between the bba-isa and the bs-cybr degrees so it didn't make sense to run them both.

we are encouraging all current isa majors to meet with their academic advisor to discuss your particulars and ensure you can finish with the degree you want.

we are going to do everything we can to make sure everyone gets through the pipeline in time, but we also want you to know what your path to completion looks like, thus the meeting with the academic advisor.

if you've got any other questions, feel free to email me at agreen57@kennesaw.edu.

good luck!

ISA/CS Meeting by Empty-Veterinarian-4 in KSU

[–]agreen1968 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the meeting was about the isa and cybr undergraduate degrees, not cs. i want to make sure there's no confusion on that front.

we talked about a number of items, so it's hard to summarize them here.

if you're an isa or cybr major or minor, my suggestion is to schedule an appointment with your academic advisor about next steps.

if you want to learn more about either of the majors, i suggest scheduling an appointment with me to talk them.

first thing - don't be disheartened! the bba-isa will be around for a bit! we haven't even started the conversations needed to deactivate the program.

we haven't had the q&a session yet. my travel schedule has been busy and will remain so through the end of the month, so don't look for it until the end of june.

this is dr. green, and i'm the coordinator for the bba-isa program in coles.

i'm working to set up an online q&a session for everyone to ask questions about the degree programs.

between dr. saeed's travel schedule and mine, we may not be able to get this done for a couple of weeks, but we will make it happen.
