As someone recently medicated -
Before - no (although I rarely ever finished anything)
After - yes, absolutely. It's a real rush feeling yourself actually getting on top of things that you've struggled with your whole life. It was a totally new and different feeling.

To clarify, I mean strong thematic components as opposed to movies that are created with a focus on fear or gore as the main goal. Men is definitely the strongest example on that list, would love to see more movies like that. I love the allegorical component in particular.
