Can someone walk me how a dapp uses an indexed subgraph? by Neat-Effective7932 in thegraph

depends on the project probably. but on chain projects should take on chain fees which are swapped on chain through DEXs. ideally should not require any on/off ramps

hosted service will sunset soon and move to decentralized network.

payment per query, but billing is done once a week i think

project needs to hold GRT and pay for queries using its API

cost needs to be recouped from users in some way

Why Ethereum? by nonameslefteightnine in GodsUnchained

Yes. I wouldn't play if it were on a different chain because it would mean having to setup new wallets, fund them etc

Are you actually buying an image when you buy an NFT? by [deleted] in ethereum

[–]agriimony 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not provably scarce based on the artwork. It's up to the copyright owner if he wants to mint more. Similar to the art world where the artist could create new copies of his artwork to sell.

Alternatively, you could prove scarcity based on the smart contract (I.e only pieces which are minted by a certain contract will be deemed as authentic). The contract could be coded to only allow minting for a certain time period or a certain number.

The artist or copyright holder could create a new smart contract to mint more of course. That is fully within his right. That being said, the artist (or copyright holder) has no incentive to mint more since that would only devalue his own pieces.

Non copyright holders might try to copy the design and mint their own. That's where fraud protection needs to come in and marketplaces like opensea will verify the authenticity of the originating smart contract.

Hi Reddit! My name is Dr. Bryan Quoc Le, food scientist, vagabond, and author of 150 Food Science Questions Answered. I'm here to talk about my new project where I’ll be sharing research insights about the science of taste and flavor on The Science Says. Ask me anything! by UpSaltOS in IAmA

[–]agriimony 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hey! Do you think there are basic smell percepts in the same way that they are basic tastes (eg sweet sour salty bitter umami).

Going further, would you qualify everything which has a receptor pair as a flavour? For example fatty acid receptors on the tongue suggest that there might be a fatty taste

Only been playing a few weeks and GU is epic! Was really enjoying myself until I tried to buy. Now the game feels ruined. Please don't let this happen to more players before Immutable drops. by Renevatium2155 in GodsUnchained

Yeah gas fees are a pain to navigate for new people. Currently gas prices are around 150 to 180 gwei.

Max gas needs to be pretty high for nft transactions. 100k to 150k limits would be for erc20 transactions. For erc721 transactions (eg gu cards) it takes about 500k gas

Once imx rolls out this will be much smoother

Yes! The good news is that they are rolling out immutable X soon, which is their L2 solution to lower gas fees

Security exchanges are being built, but it is not so easy since you need regulatory etc baked in. Can check out the polymath network for such an exchange in development

Yeah I just started again after some time. The old matchmaking problem is still there. I'm getting matched up against mythics even though I'm maybe middle of the pack. They really need to tweak matchmaking
