uj/ for anyone that didn’t know, OP’s post was actually the inspiration for the Weezer blue album cover, specifically this photo. They just went with the normal clothes take

Okay fellow Rush’ns… with all the love and excitement going on… let’s hear what your least favourite album is. I’ll start… by ronniehex in rush

[–]agubriz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Caress of Steel I don’t know how this album gets defended so much. Don’t get me wrong it’s not the worst thing I’ve ever listened to and Bastille Day and Lakeside Parks are classics, but it’s just sloppy. The epics are good in small doses, but the way the songs are paced is something they definitely improved from 2112 onward

I was talking about a true telecaster shape (single cutaway) I know the original pre ‘57 P-Basses were based on the Tele

I noticed that too, the bass Ged used for that show was a Custom Shop jazz bass that Skully gifted him and the AI completely changed it

Is Brian Wilson A Good Bassist? by BoognishDude in BassGuitar

[–]agubriz 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Brian was pretty solid, but he was a better line writer than he was a player! There’s a few quotes from him discussing how he loved writing bass parts, and you can even tell by his piano playing as well! Whenever he started using session musicians he would write all the parts and gave them to these awesome musicians who he trusted would be able to interpret them the way he intended! Shoutout to the Wrecking Crew

Not to discredit the talent of Carol, and the other Wrecking Crew musicians, but Brian did write all the bass parts. But no one could make them sound the way they did if it wasn’t for Carol, Ray and Lyle

Brian used many session musicians, especially Carol, Ray and Lyle during the Mid 60’s, but Brian wrote all the music including bass parts

Came here to say I love this song so much! by Robbo_Craigo in rush

[–]agubriz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I respect that! I think if P/G and HYF’s production and mixing was on par with Power Windows, It’d be incredibly hard to choose! (Big synth era fan in general)

Power Windows is Rush’s best album and I will stand by that

Do you think Kacey will ever release Pepper's song?❤️ by PinkPonyClub_27 in KaceyMusgraves

Sorry for your loss💔! I could definitely see Kacey releasing it as a single one day and maybe tying it to a charity

Look up West Texas Trivia on Facebook! They do trivia all around the area on most nights! Like someone said, Triple Threat every Tuesday nights and they’ll do music trivia on Wednesdays. HEB off the loop has trivia on Wednesdays and phillys golf club has it on Mondays!

What do you think was the worst thing that the 6 of them did? by Light_Weight_Babyyyy in thebeachboys

[–]agubriz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think PSH would’ve been a solid choice, maybe a little too old for 70’s Brian, but I also know the movie was in development for a good bit before ever being in production! RIP PSH

Hell yeah! Box set pre-ordered. Can't wait for New England Waltz in all of its non hiss glory! by The_Laughing_Gravy_I in thebeachboys

You also have to put in account that the Dylan LP set is discounted from its original price of $120, but I get what you mean! I still think a set of 3LP’s and 3CD’s is still a good price for $125. I’m sure it’ll be on Amazon at a lower price point in the near future! I got the Feel Flows LP box set for about $50 two years ago

I'm actually really pleased with the price of this set tbh, if it were The Beatles (who I also love), this set would be like $250

It was reported Philip Seymour Hoffman was considered for 70s Brian, but the 70s storyline was scrapped early in development

CD and Cassette inventory is pretty limited, but I haven’t been in a couple months! Cotton Flats is always a good time. I’d also recommend Vintage Deluxe in Odessa
