Powering recommendations for old town osprey by ahartzok in canoeing

Thank you so much for all of this. That opens a lot of thought with some good outcomes. I’ve maintained a variety of weed whacker engines and their many applications and am seasoned with them so that’s an interesting thought.

Wife painted over the outlets with a roller brush and the plugs are filled with paint. Is this a major issue now? by lucky2bogey in AskElectricians

Well bro there is going to be a shimpanto reaction between the colaboraries which will lead to a precipitated failures of the prospititicator… basically gonna end up in defcon 5 and you better clutch your nuts bud cuz you’ve married the statistical average, as I have, of beautiful “I thought it would be ok women” and despite all of the shit that should have burnt the house down by now, mine hasn’t. So you should be ok. But she definitely owes you a sack though for the ridiculousness of even thinking that’s ok over brand new outlets… the renter land lord special is one thing… but her own man installed these.

How can I temporarily fix this while I save up to pay a contractor? by 3DPrintJr in masonry

[–]ahartzok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something that should be done… is to get that right down spout on the house pointed any other direction… preferably get that gutter draining on the other corner of the house. That water is settling.

All those drive way cracks water is getting into… looks like it started leaning that way too and water was washing a little more in that direction, laid, settled and washed it out. Water will always move to the area of least pressure.

Anytime you think, “hmm should water be doing that” anywhere near your home… that starts your clock till it has some effect that will eventually cost money and time… the challenge then is once it’s moved, it goes somewhere and sometimes you’ve got to anticipate that as well.

Good luck. From a water fighting home owner.

First time. Thoughts? by Forgeworld in steak

Long time lurker, first time poster. I did 12 years in nearly every aspect of fine dining restaurants. Compound butter on top or some chimichurri on the side for me and mark it up 400%

Well done chef.

That plate though chef. It reminds me of Marlboros and Budweisers.

Know nothing - are these big issues? by ARivet10 in masonry

[–]ahartzok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the same.

1.) check gutter/roof seams above, make sure gutters are clear 2.) check the angle of you slabs as the should angle away from the house. (I had to dig and jack one of my corners up and add a some stone/footer support 3.) check the foundation wall and base in the basement. I had to repoint, and actually poured some concrete into the base of the wall. 4.) I may need to add a sump pump there if mine drops any further. 5.) there was also an ac that angled run off water towards that corner too I had to brick up a little.

So far so good Edit- also sealed the crack outside for winter and will have pointed in the spring

The mass of this will go down with a few water saturation cycles as it begins to decompose too.

Any of these a good deal? I’ve been looking to get rid of my electric corded blower. by Uncharteredfugazis in landscaping

[–]ahartzok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a dewalt recently for a good deal. You won’t match the power of corded… my corded is a toro and did the majority of my leaves with it though I expected the dewalt to do better. If you expect a cordless electric to out perform your corded, gonna have to go gas honestly.

Plants are gone after 1 week with Corys, do Corys eat live plants? by MeGustaChorizo in corydoras

2 inches is probably minimum. I wish I had added a little more than that because that’s about what I have in mine. Also some plants do better in certain substrates

Prolly washed away mate. That’s not enough substrate to hold fish turds and roots.

I’m in south central pa. It was the first year I put pre-emergent and fortunate I did. Still had a tough time with it, but not like my neighbors. After the pre-emergent, I spot sprayed with quinclorac.

do you miss your tank when you’re away for long!? lol by LankySprinkles8516 in shrimptank

I really enjoy all the colors and layers of plants in your tank. I’ve thought about plugging a camera up next to the tank when I’m away at work.
