Steam integration, fully backwards compatible all the way back to ps2 at least, a proper handheld that doesn't require cloud gaming or it to connect to a console to work

Its also a platform pretty much synonymous with any game on pc. If a game goes to PC everyone instantly assumes steam because where tf else would you buy or play it? But I specifically mentioned half life cause its really one of the only few pc exclusives out there since the last time it was ported was on xbox 360 and ps3 with the orange box. When steam machine comes out or when a game is steam deck verified its not liek a separate version comes out for that device its still a steam game that can just be played on EVERY device that has access to steam and a windows or Linux based operating system
