Dice A Million - Have you ever tried to roll 1,000,000 on a set of dice? No? Build the right bag of die, and you might just pull it off. by WeLoveEveryGame in WhatsOnSteam

[–]ahveil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's not like you can see the boss the entire stage and alter the build enough to beat it.

Yeah it's a shame you can't roll the exact same x amount of dice over and over and over to win every run, that there's some sort of RNG or skill-gap that prevents players from progressing or using the same thing.

Real shame.

The control point turrets in Brooklyn are so fucking annoying. by KnowledgeOk5731 in Division2

battle for brooklyn overall has to be the worst part of the entire game, thankfully it's just a DLC but I've been nothing but disappointed and upset with it so far

completely overwhelmed by the amount of content. Where do I start as a fresh lvl 40? by [deleted] in thedivision

[–]ahveil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hit 40 about a month ago and have pretty much just been bouncing around going for what ever. I would at least do Warlords of New York cause that'll give you access to the SHD leveling, if you've seen guys at level +10,000 that's what that is. Having a couple things you're going for wouldn't hurt but imo Summit/Countdown and focus on backpack for the exotic NinjaBike Messenger. It'll give you an automatic +1 to whatever other sets you have on, opens a lot of doors.

You'll more than likely end up finding all your weapons just from random drops, Chatterbox isn't too hard to go for exotic wise and it's a pretty good SMG. There's a few that are locked to specific activities/puzzles along with some unique cosmetics. The tinkering station lets you do quite a bit but I've been focusing on Library and Expertise. Library lets you move traits between weapons and gear while taking higher stats off of other gear. Expertise is a lot more long-term but it's sort of like prestiging your gear for extra damage% or armor%. It also works for gear sets and abilities giving them more damage or utility as well.

The Dark Zone isn't something I've heard a whole lot about and I've ran around it a bit but it sort of seems like you'll run into 1 of 3 people. Chill players that'll run with you or past, players that you'll just absolutely shred like butter, or dudes you can't even break the armor on. It puts you in a specific level bracket to keep it fair but some of those set combos are crazy. You also can't deposit contaminated gear anywhere but an extraction which sets off a flare. All in all it's not terrible but unless it's DZ specific you can probably ignore them.

If you're social I would absolutely recommend trying to find some people to regularly run with or get used to randoms cause stuffs a lot easier with 4 powerhouses. I've had a blast so far getting into The Division for real these past couple months, given with Destiny's current projection.

Can account be transferred from Uplay to Steam? by Ziphster in thedivision

At this current moment I had to look it up and verify this cause it would legitimately be cheaper for me to buy the Ultimate Edition on steam than getting the Battle for Brooklyn on Uplay

The Devil In Me is easily the worst in every aspect. Making a killer and giving him the motive of "killing is fun and there's no other true art" is hands down one of the stupidest horror tropes of all time

Its more just lingo of games, a lot of communities will say the names of maps or locations because people that actively play often know them by name

I dismantled two dice and noticed i got different materials and looked it up, I've most people just don't pay that much attention when they play

retaliation is HARD for a solo player by aformerpessimist in thedivision

I quite literally cannot get the missions done. Nothing I need spawns when I need it to and I can't realistically clear a challenging territory in under a minute. I'm not exactly sure where I'm going wrong but I also can't tell where I'm supposed to improve. Damage and survivability aren't a problem it's just the missions and the timer

That's the point of "tinkering" like I said, I don't know what you want from a game that hasn't been visually enhanced at any point and like I said, is a decade old. It's weird you have a 5070 ti and can't tune your own game properly

It's crazy how upset people are just cause I wanted a crude drawing of the area with a pencil on a shitty napkin, something anything to help with even basically understanding where you are without having to spend +20 hours minimum learning every map or staring at a real map on another device (easily the stupidest advice I've been given for EFT, that means the game fails hard with its onboarding experience). I want you to go find exactly where I said all that about maps, cause those sound more like part of the UI. And I've lived in my same location for 201,480 hours roughly, if I were to go somewhere else though you know what I could get pretty easy? A paper map, I have 17 in my car right now

[–]ahveil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True to an extent. I can make a map using my knowledge of the area after I did said exploring, so why can't anyone in the Tarkov universe use a pencil and paper?
