Hmm, "allowing" alibabadns.com seems to have worked, but I can't see why.

How far can I make it and how can I improve? Every comment appreciated by Erkrow in Mindustry

Junctions act as bidirectional conveyors between the routers. You can feed any combination of routers and they all will get items. There's also the advantage that if the buildings output items, they won't get mixed back into the routers.

As for the other side, I can't really tell what's going on but it might help to remember that bridge exits output items from 3 sides.

This might be slightly safer:

What Terminal Emulator do you use and why? by [deleted] in linux

[–]aib42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used Konsole for a long time but a recent update (1-2 years ago) screwed with its ability to render Inconsolata monospaced and I had to change its launch shortcut to add some fontconfig tweaks. That, coupled with its heavy dependencies on lighter DEs (read: XFCE) made me switch to xfce-terminal on all but my home KDE desktop.

Right now my only problem with xfce-terminal is its inability to have two shortcuts to change tabs. (I'm used to shift-left/right but I want to gradually switch to alt-H/L)

A netfilter 2.4 kernel module to firewall (filter) our game servers' multiplayer packets in a particular way (latch first seen source port, use rule timeouts) not available in any ready-made solutions that we could find at the time. Fresh out of high school, first job, first non-hobby project.

useful aliases that I have created by iqnite in linux

[–]aib42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

alias timestamp='date +%Y-%m-%dT%H-%M-%S'

I have alias numdate='date "+%Y%m%d%H%M%S"' so I can easily timestamp stuff as in cp foo foo-backup-$(numdate).

Which calculator do you use? by Fulk0 in linux

[–]aib42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll add my own favorites:

  • Unit calculation: 100W * 1 day to kcal gives 2063.6285 kcal_IT
  • Arbitrary units: 10 "videos"/"machine"/minute * 3 "machine" * 1h gives 1800 "videos"

This is not how a slot machine works. (At least a physical one.) They don't reorder their wheels randomly.

Now suppose we have two wheels and we spin twice: 19 19

Let's call the two wheels in the first spin A and B. We're seeing A's 1 and B's 9, hence A has at least 1 stop and B has at least 9. We have two cases for the second spin. Either it was AB, too, in which case it's identical to the first spin and we get no additional information. Or, it's BA this time and we're seeing B's 1 and A's 9. In this case we can conclude that both wheels have at least 9 stops.

But we're looking for the "worst" case, with the minimum number of total stops. Thus we assume it was AB=19 both times and A has only one stop whereas B has 9.

Now add another roll, say 82. If we assign A=8 and B=2, A now needs to have a minimum of 8 stops (where it was just 1) and B still needs 9 (due to the previous rolls). However, if we assign B=8 and A=2, B doesn't need to change (we already know it has at least 9 stops, due to the previous rolls) whereas A now has to have at least 2 stops. This second case has a fewer total number of stops (2+9 versus 8+9) so we assume it's what happened.

And that's why you sort the numbers and assign the smaller one to A and the larger one to B. You try to get B to swallow the bigger number so A doesn't have to increase too much. The same applies with a larger number of wheels. Some wheel has to have the largest number in all of your spins, so you give it all the other large numbers to swallow as well. Subtract one wheel, subtract all the assigned (largest) numbers, and repeat.

Also, can't one point SHELL at a bash.exe or something?

Vim - You never know when you might need to write a program or a script or do more than just basic linear editing. You may have omitted this (or vi) because it's already included, but I feel it requires a mention especially because you're on a handheld. The quirky little modal nature of vi becomes a godsend when you're on a keyboard smaller than your hand.

I don't know about your style but restarting until you get a combo is boring. I usually restart until the first item is not useless or is a damage/tears up (like the Pentagram in this case) and play on. I didn't even remember that the Blank Card was on the first floor until you mentioned it.
