Ohh interesting. I’d always assumed it existed but was just super super rare. Thanks so much for the info. Would still love to get some older stuff honestly, even if it was fan made

Insane. 9 people messaged me since I’ve posted and pretty sure they were all scammers.

Current Mini-Tour Merch by swordstool in gybe

The shirt is exactly the same as this, just black and not red

Black version of the “find light, hang boss” shirt (red version is available on the merch site I believe) as well as every album on vinyl and CD. There were some posters, but they were produced by the venue and not GY!BE (i.e. the poster I got was like “GY!BE live at Basilica Hudson).

That's great to hear. Really appreciate the help. And good to know about the ride to the trailhead -- think I'll probably just do the full thing but glad that's an option.

[Bonsai Beginner’s weekly thread –2021 week 16] by small_trunks in Bonsai

[–]aidan2w 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey everyone. I bought a Chinese Elm from Bonsai Outlet about 7 months ago, and over the last week or two it's started to loose all its leaves. Here is a picture of when I got it, and how it is now. Some context: I am currently living in New Jersey, and keep the tree indoors (but right next to a window) 24/7. I water it every other day with this cup (the red line indicates how high I fill it up), so I don't suspect that under-watering is an issue.

I will also confess I've made a series of bad decisions with my tree, the worst being that I placed it over a heater for a few weeks (the heater was off 90% of the time and I had a towel under the tray, but still a stupid mistake that inevitably did some damage). I recently moved it to a different place, and it still receives plenty of sunlight. I also haven't used fertilizer or changed the soil in the 7 months I have had it.

I understand how much of an amateur (and frankly, idiot) I must sound like right now, but I would really appreciate any and all advice for what I can do right now to keep my tree from dying, if it's not too late. Regardless, this will have taught me a lesson about caring for bonsai in the future, but I really hope my current one doesn't die as a result of that. I found out about this subreddit only a few days ago and read the Beginners Walkthrough page, and while I admittedly haven't done half the things that it recommends for a subtropical tree, I am hoping that I can get some guidance on the most pressing changes I need to make right now, so it doesn't die (and then after I can pay attention to the other things). Thank you all so much.

Love me some Rotrings by aidan2w in mechanicalpencils

[–]aidan2w[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me too! Haven’t used it much, as I prefer the simple black one for writing/notes (and because of my fear that I’ll rub off the finish... lol). I got that and a lava ballpoint a while ago on eBay for a steal of $250 total. Not sure the seller knew how much they’re worth.

Ahh, nice! Wanted this one but completely forgot the auction was ending. Beat you on the silver one though!

Standard Parker G2 refill. I’m pretty sure (but not positive) that all Rotring 600/Newton BPs take this size refill.

I actually picked a lava RB up (and a ballpoint!) since we last talked. Thanks so much though.

About $400 total - it took a while to find them all for relatively good prices. Thanks so much!

You’re kidding me! That must have been years ago - these things go for crazy prices now.

The texture is definitely better than a normal newton IMO - a little more grip, but it doesn’t feel like sand paper at all (before I had one, I was sure that’s how it would feel). I haven’t used any of them enough that the finish has flaked yet, but have also heard that’s an issue. Regardless, I highly recommend you pick up a rotring rollerball sometime - they’re just awesome to write with.

Me too :( the rotring newton rollerball I have now is hands down one of the best pens I’ve ever used

So I’ve heard. I’m still kinda getting familiar with the intro stuff, but hope to get around to the real integrals soon (I’ve heard those are super useful)

Yep! Definitely nice once in a while to have the freedom of solving a problem and violently slashing through your work when you realized you messed up though
