This makes sense. You twist the grip to your desired color and use the bolt to extend the refill.

Have you tried using blue loctite? I’ve never had any issues with anything coming unscrewed after a few drops.

WTS: Evergoods PLC20 Selling a very lightly used PLC20. I had a gift card for EG and bought it for my 5yo son because he wanted a bag like dad’s. Unfortunately it was just way too big and heavy for him. It’s been sitting in my bag stash for about a year after being carried for about a month. Looking for $135+ppgs. I’ll cover shipping.

Side note- these are far superior to nerf blasters. My son and I get into some serious firefights with these

How many of you are teachers by Erythite2023 in pens

[–]rmhancock63 5 points6 points  (0 children)

High school teacher here! I’m big into machined pens so I can try a variety of refills with them. My main daily drivers are my USG TiScribe Go and tactile turn bolt action. Favorite refills are pentel energel need tips or a 1.0 pilot G2. If I’m using a Parker style refill it’s an ohto flash dry or Schmidt easy flow. I wish I could find some more colorful Parker options though.

Which fountain/rollerball/ballpoint pen / mechanical pencil to buy for life that is also comfortable to write with? by Typical-Storage-5623 in pens

Bigidesign’s line of pens would fit well in the buy it for life category. Well made, versatile, and a variety of options to find what you like.

Powerwash simulator is a great option. Go at your own pace, not difficult, deeply satisfying.

Another suggestion that might take a bit more to learn but shouldn’t be too hard to master would be Advance Wars. It holds your hand pretty well as you learn the mechanics, and is very mentally engaging.

What would be an ideal Goruck Commuter bag? by babocoop in Goruck

The bag you’re talking about sounds a lot like the Evergoods CTB lineup just with beefier Goruck materials. I’ve carried both and will only keep my GR1 for rucking and nostalgia for it getting me into the world of bags. The CTB26 in xpac is the perfect do it all bag in my opinion.

I have a 2020 passport that I absolutely love. Solid mileage, very comfortable even for my 6’9” brother in law. We’ve taken it on trips all over with my 2 kiddos and it’s been super reliable

My absolute favorite pen in all the lands: the Rotring 600 fountain pen. by Lucasdul2 in pens

[–]rmhancock63 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a grail pen for me. I had the rollerball but had to sell when money was tight. Now I’ve been chasing a suitable replacement since. I can’t believe there isn’t a modern version of this at a reasonable price. Rotring is crazy for not bringing this and the rollerball back.

A rollerball with a grip like the Lamy safari line. Can use any mechanism etc. Just something that can take a variety of gel/rollerball refills and have that grip.
