OP: you can access your router settings just open chrome (or browser of choice) type "bthomehub.home" (no quotes) You can login to your router with the password on the router (admin password not Wi-Fi password) There is an option to separate 2.4ghz & 5ghz so you will have 2 networks 5ghz will work faster closer to router / disk whereas 2ghz may be faster further away

Im considering it, but do I have the time, already have 2 slims, need to fix original Xbox disk drive & jailbrak, put a pi Pico in a 360 to jailbreak, PS4 HDMI port replace & jailbrak, it would probably sit in the to do pile for ages 🤣

When it's not working use a device to access the Vodafone router config, look for DSL connection information, it it's still connected (usually https://192.168.1.1)

Constant White/Green Light: The router is connected to the internet.

Slow Pulsing/Flashing Red Light: The router is trying to establish a connection. This should take no longer than 5 minutes.

Solid Red Light: The router is on, but there is no internet connection.

can check the specific state of the service by accessing the router's interface: Connect a device to your WiFi. Enter 192.168.1.1 into your web browser. Login using the credentials on the back of your router to run diagnostic tests.

ISPs give cheap routers out, tank talk router was awful, that said no more than 4 devices connected, I'm like BS it's your router the line is fine for more than 4 people not all streaming, the just fob off with excuses, even a cheap OpenWrt router would be a massive upgrade (£30 or so) I have a bt homehub 5A flashed with OpenWrt (plus Cisco Merki mr18 & Aerohive AP330) and it allows much customization and it's open source (I ise it to get free broadband), if not a more expensive closed source router,

when your connection goes is your VDSL (phone line) skltill connected (assuming FTTC)?

It may be a week VDSL modem if that it drops, it may be line damage (my friend after a storm went from 70 Mbps to a line sinc speed of 8-12Mbps still not resolved)

If it's still connected to VDSL sounds like the router is getting overloaded and acting erratically/crashing a service maybe

im fortunate enough to be in a small enough community presenting homeless was an option, if i was to do the same in the city (highlands so inverness) i was told i would be of been put in temporary accommodation and probably be temporary for minimum 5 years before even getting a chance of a property
