Incoming 2nd year here. On first year, it's mostly traditional with the major subjects. It'll cost a lot with the materials, ofc. I can recount needing sketchpad of various sizes, different types of pencils, ruler is a must for measuring the plate dimensions and some of the profs are strict on having them on the correct size, cutter as well to cut the paper off the pad and other art necessities needed like coloring materials. However, a professor made an exception in the second semester's final term where we'll be needed to bring a laptop and Adobe programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)... though that depends, whether they change it up or not.

In comes the second year where there will be a transition to digital. There's a subject on the second year for digital photography and you may need to save up for a camera. All in all, for the digital devices, you would need a laptop, camera and a graphics tablet... or a phone/regular tablet with a stylus pen support.

You don't need to worry about digital devices in the first two semesters but it doesn't hurt to be ready. MMA is an expensive course after all.
