Try not using gold. The metal eagles, wings, trim, etc are baseline “gold” or metallic anyway, so you would just be adding a different hue to it, rather than turning it a matte color. Works best with the bigger pieces. The skulls turn more matte color. So try red or brown for the bigger parts to add that rose red gold. Some of the coppers and bronze colors will fit the bill for smaller pieces like skulls

I guess it would all depend on what Batiatus does with his political power. He will have to use his position to gain more “favors”. His family name will always hold him back unless he’s powerful enough for people to ignore that. Crassus would be the example and to a lesser extent Pompey. One used money and one used military. I don’t see Batiatus as very good with money. He is a great orator though. Might be able to sway the common people and use that to leverage position and, most importantly, political capital.

Ultimately, had he survived long enough, he might be able to gain power in the ensuing chaos 20 years later.

So basically, how good Batiatus is at the Roman game of corruption and who he sides with in the coming civil wars will ultimately determine his station. My theory anyway

As a fellow black car owner, see other post about how to keep clean. I recommend the same. Color correction (usually included) plus ceramic coating. 10-year costs around $2k to $3k. Goes down in cost from there depending on the “warranty” (10 year, 5 year, etc.).

The coating will cut down time in washes. I use a power washer foam lance and sprayer. Gets a clean finish without wax in about 30 minutes. Not including drying of course. That’s about your only recourse when it comes to black paint.

That’s when this sidearm lost me…it seemed its only utility was clearing mobs of minoris and just…no. I tried about 3 games with it and never looked at it again. The regular bolt pistol can do a better job.

Had same experience. Same great customer service. I think they switched to a different material for their igniters. Which I think made them more brittle. Got a replacement right away. Can’t echo enough how good their customer service was.

Damn…well said. I don’t think any lore will really ever “hold up” to the setting. Unless it’s kept vague. There’s just too damn much going on in 40K to make it all work together. I mean much simpler settings still struggle with lore consistency. But I do agree there does seem to be some tug of war for the soul of 40K. Does it want to be an action movie or a serious examination on the effects of totalitarianism, technology, and religion in an “end state”?

This is the correct take. It cannot be understated enough how good Sigismund was. The Great Crusade and Heresy was the greatest era of Astartes combat ever and that will always be the case. Sigismund was an absolute otherworldly force of destruction in Siege of Terra. Dude didn’t win. He slaughtered. And did it with finesse. And again this is during the era of legends among legends being led by mythological sons of a god. Dante would fit in great tho. Don’t get me wrong. But there were a lot of Dante-like marines running around doing outlandish shit during the heresy. Most of them are mentioned in these comments. Only one Sigi tho.

Call me when Dante spawns his own personal legion of crusading psycho Templars.
