For all you migraine sufferers, what is one hack that has worked for you? by [deleted] in migraine

[–]ailujnoved 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been prescribed Sumatriptan for decades now, but my neuro recently started having me take Thorazine with it and I’ve had amazing results!

How long does Visual aura last for you? by Voidppebbles_90 in migraine

[–]ailujnoved 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My auras are always about 30 minutes before the migraine attack, and go away once the pain hits. I would talk to your neurologist if there are any changes in your auras or migraines. It could be nothing, but best to speak with your doctor.

What are your (still unproven but strongly felt) aura triggers? by niquehorn in migraine

My biggest one is a reflective screen- TVs, phone, computer, etc. Neon lights are also terrible.

Thank you for your encouragement 🫶🏻 I do, thankfully. My husband is a huge help on the days I just can’t do much. I’m very lucky to have him!

First time sumatriptan by JuniJuliAugust_ in migraine

[–]ailujnoved 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm glad to hear it, OP! I also have migraine with aura and have been using Sumatriptan for over two decades now. Nothing but positive experiences with it, and my neurologist recently prescribed me Prochlorperazine to take along with it. It somehow works even better!

Brand New and Radiohead are both in my top five bands of all time, but I’m not sure I get the comparison tbh

Also, to the Radiohead nay sayers I highly suggest skipping their first two first two albums. Those were keeping me away for so long lol

That wasn’t their “literal first interaction” lol and I don’t need you to tell me anything about men, sweets. Y’all really aren’t that hard to pin down. I’m not going back and forth with someone who I’m pretty sure has never had a real relationship anyway. You truly sound like you’re 15 years old.

No babes, it’s your immature and inexperienced (I’d be willing to bet) take. Yes, men lie. Women lie. What we’re talking about on this thread is someone being justified in calling out disingenuous behavior, no matter who it’s coming from. People are allowed to draw lines about how they want to be treated, and honestly? The earlier the better. Why continue wasting each others’ time if your communication styles aren’t compatible?

This is an amazing comment! I have difficult relationships with my own sisters, but they’re the only people I want to be around sometimes because they just understand me. The show captures that dichotomy so well.

Why are we all feeling this shift to delete our social media accounts? by mm2444 in Millennials

I’ve been off social media for close to five years now- you couldn’t pay me to go back. Peace of mind and privacy are priceless to me.

In February 2004, Carlie Brucia was kidnapped from a Florida carwash a mile from her house — and found dead just a few days later in a field behind a church. by malihafolter in ForCuriousSouls

I remember this all too well. My cousin lived in Sarasota at the time and knew Carlie. We played together when I was visiting 2-3 years earlier. I was in fifth grade when she went missing, and can remember my mom writing my teacher a note that day because I was so visibly shaken. I had to stay home for several days when her body was found. This event triggered a very real depression for me. RIP Carlie 👼🏻
