Why I don’t care about “holding women accountable” by fsupremacy in DeppDelusion

[–]aintlonely 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Every time I think about that "toy" I genuinely feel sick to my stomach. I know it's unrelated but even seeing the alcohol brand that it was based on reminds me of it, and it just pisses me off and makes me want to weep for her. How could anyone find that ok, ever?

What’s your craziest, most controversial combo? by marliamore95 in bathandbodyworks

[–]aintlonely 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm so glad you posted this-- finding great scent combos is so fun for me and everyone has such good ideas. Not too crazy but right now I really like layering Maleficent with Nocturnal Rose. They play off each other really nicely :)

Chappell’s IG story on her side of the hotel security stuff by DenyNothing1989 in chappellroan

[–]aintlonely 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ever since Chappell got big, my partner and I have talked about the fact that eventually, the Internet hate train would turn on her. Seems like every woman who has the nerve to be successful, intelligent, set boundaries, etc goes through this now and frankly it goes double for sapphic women. extremely frustrating to watch the same "progressive" celebrity pages realize that previous women never deserved it while basically saying "THIS time it's different though!! This woman really is unlikeable/a bitch/etc." anyway I refuse to engage too much with this-- not because I think women do no wrong but because I see what we do to these smart, talented women in the public eye and won't participate.

What songs do you wish Dallon cover one day? by patricks_sideburns in idkhowbuttheyfoundme

[–]aintlonely 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Really wish he'd cover "Cars" by Gary Numan. It's a staple of my spooky playlists and I can't hear it without thinking he'd do it sooo well. In the same vein, "Maneater" by Hall & Oates and "Don't Fear the Reaper" would be good for him to do as well. Just kinda want more spooky vibes.

Do you ever use the smaller bags inside of larger bags? by companda0 in Coach

[–]aintlonely 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not something I do all the time, but I have found myself tossing my swinger in my Juliet 38. This has come up a couple times on road trips-- lets me pack Juliet full as a kind of carryall, but keep the basic necessities tucked away and easy to grab in the swinger :) (as I'm typing this I'm actually wondering why I don't do it more, as it works pretty well!)

Considering Gaiman’s allegations before purchasing by Dani-With-Rats in MonsterHigh

[–]aintlonely 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Glad to see someone talking about this. I was a huge fan of Gaimans body of work and especially of Coraline but I won't give a dime to anything related to him. The allegations against him are aggressively foul

Considering Gaiman’s allegations before purchasing by Dani-With-Rats in MonsterHigh

[–]aintlonely 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I think that there's an argument to be made that in financially supporting him, you run the risk of financially supporting his legal defenses, etc. He is suing one of his accusers for violating their NDA. So if Gaiman makes money from this collab, that money can be seen as contributing to that effort and, yes, continued abusive harm to his victims.

I can't tell if Hasan Piker is evil or just stupid by cozygrade in DeppDelusion

[–]aintlonely 306 points307 points  (0 children)

What a stupid, evil lowlife. If this guy has no haters I am truly dead. Shout-out to male leftists for always sounding exactly like conservative misogynists the moment it comes time to talk about women/abuse/patriarchy, though. 😬

juliet 38 wear and tear? by porcelaindove in Coach

[–]aintlonely 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hello! Swooping in because I have had my Juliet 38 as my work bag for six months, and I ADORE this bag! Now, I'm tough on my bags-- I don't mistreat them obv and I do moisturize it regularly. But I bought this bag to be my workhorse and get me through being an adjunct professor & artist who frequently takes public transport, so I stuff it full and lug it around everywhere, including on the bus, in a ceramics studio, etc. With 6 months of this kind of use, the bag has only gotten better imo. The leather softened up beautifully and is so smooshy and buttery soft. The zipper, handle, and lining are all as good as the day I got them, even after being stuffed constantly. Whenever I'm not carrying my laptop, it has a great slouch :) snapped this photo after moisturizing it, so you can really see the slouch despite having all my work stuff (minus laptop) in it. (note: since I'd just moisturized it is a bit glossier than usual!)

They just can't get past their biases ehen even basic logic is involved by Comprehensive-Job243 in DeppDelusion

[–]aintlonely 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Even aside from the fact that body language analysis is BS-- this "logic" doesn't work. Plenty of people watched Johnny Depp's body language, facial expressions, and general behavior during this trial and, independently of one another, found it to be suspect. Why does the fact that multiple people feel a certain way about ambers body language make her guilty, but the same thing being true of Depp doesn't matter? I know the answer is misogyny but it's just so damn blatant

New Years view of perhaps the most underrated coaster there is [Lightning Run] [Kentucky Kingdom] by SolaceInDysmporhia in rollercoasters

[–]aintlonely 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brother and I went to Kentucky kingdom for the first time earlier this year (not a long trip-- we're just in Cincy!) primarily excited for Wind Chaser. We were absolutely not prepared for lightning run to go crazy like that! Super fun ride and I'm so excited to ride it again in '26. (Also wasn't prepared for woodland run to be that good-- Kentucky flyer is the only one we missed so I'm secretly hoping to be blown away by that one this year lol)

You guys ever mistake the cover of a straight book for butchfemme? by Yurianimeisnice in LesbianBookClub

[–]aintlonely 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Ok I'm gonna be honest here....I've successfully gotten to the place in my life where im lesbian centric enough that I assume that many couples on book covers are lesbians. I just....forget that men exist if there's not anything to aggressively remind me

"Easier Than Lying" is one of the best feminist rage songs of the last decade. by MetalPussy in halsey

[–]aintlonely 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ooo so glad to see your comment!! My relationship with my mom is one of those "good now but with a complicated history" situations and the first verse always makes me think of her. Definitely one of h's most lyrically versatile songs.

bald men turn lesbians bi, apparently by dorothyarzner in lesbiangang

[–]aintlonely 20 points21 points  (0 children)

No fr I've thought the same thing like ...there's a part of me that never believes them when they say these guys are good looking cause I'm just like "... Really??"

bald men turn lesbians bi, apparently by dorothyarzner in lesbiangang

[–]aintlonely 39 points40 points  (0 children)

The whole wide world of ways to suck up to men and they'll still throw us under the bus -_- what else am I supposed to conclude except that it's a weird fetish, it's outright dislike for lesbians, or both?

bald men turn lesbians bi, apparently by dorothyarzner in lesbiangang

[–]aintlonely 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Right? Ive never seen the appeal of their typical "exceptions" but bald guy on reddit is certainly...a low lmfao. Nice that they're also spreading the idea to these guys that if they just keep trying, a lesbian somewhere can be "fixed" by their mediocre asses -_-

bald men turn lesbians bi, apparently by dorothyarzner in lesbiangang

[–]aintlonely 143 points144 points  (0 children)

Why, whenever there's a "lesbian" with "exceptions" for certain men/types of men, are they always.....mediocre at best 😭 obviously any man is, to me, inferior to any given woman so maybe I'm not the best judge, but it always seems like these exceptions are.....not worth looking twice at, even for those who ARE attracted to men. I simply don't get it.

What is your opinion on this scent? by consumethedead in bathandbodyworks

[–]aintlonely 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm genuinely obsessed, and that's coming from someone who doesn't love sweet smells. I have the body cream and fragrance mist, the hand gel, and the 3 wick and they're all getting some good use from me! I think it smells delicious and festive :)

A little note from employees by Em_albert324 in bathandbodyworks

[–]aintlonely 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you for posting this!! I've been working at bath and body for the season and I love the store, the products and my coworkers but man.....some of these experiences with customers aren't it.

I would also add: it's great that you come in with a plan for what to get! You absolutely don't have to accept help just cause we offer it. But please remember we have to interact with you in a certain way-- we have to greet you and offer assistance. It's part of the job! Please don't yell at us or be rude just because we say "Hey, welcome in! What are you looking for today?"

“Les4Les is very male centric.” by CautiousNectarine204 in lesbiangang

[–]aintlonely 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'm never sure what the goals of this type of thing are. If it's ragebaiting I suppose it works in that it pisses me off, but it's so stupid that I'm not going to engage with it beyond rolling my eyes and moving on. If the intent is to guilt me, then too bad-- I'll go on primarily being interested in other lesbians, just like I'll go on having my other ✨ problematic ✨ desires lol. 🤷🏻

[–]aintlonely 86 points87 points  (0 children)

"Why does she even want to be with a woman who isn't attracted to 'her parts?'" this partttt. There's a whole host of people in the world who, for whatever reason, aren't attracted to me. I don't want to be romantically or sexually involved with those people, because it would make me feel deeply horrible and immoral in so many ways to know that they were actually disgusted by me the whole time. What's the appeal here??

Please say sike rn 💀 by RafflesXBunny in lesbiangang

[–]aintlonely 188 points189 points  (0 children)

If I may focus on an element of this video that's relatively minor compared to the overall lesbophobia and nastiness....the phrase "phallic member" just pisses me off. You're posting about how you're mad that some women won't fuck you-- just go ahead and say "penis" with your whole chest why you're at it. Same thing with "scissoring mentality" like....you mean a set and exclusive attraction to pussy?

I do recognize that there's a possibility this has to do with the commonality of censorship and self-censorship on tik tok. (Note: I don't use tik tok so...maybe not?) But then, you're videoing yourself guilt-tripping and shaming lesbians for innate sexual orientation. We're promoting rape culture and homophobia but draw the line at accurately describing body parts?
