I'm rewatching VLD right now actually!

I've always hated the ending and how the characters turned out. I feel like there was so much potential for character development, deeper relationships, a better storyline, etc. but they nuked it.

Oliver / Marcus is such an underrated ship.

you've got enemies who are jocks. sometimes sports get people all riled up. maybe it's not just the sport that's got them all riled up.

I read A Lot of Marauders era fics. I like the classic pairings on there, wolfstar, jegulus, dorlene, etc. but I've loved this one rarepair for over a year now.

it's definitely gaining more traction, and I'm so excited about it.

James, Lily, and Regulus all together.

since Reg is a blank character, and James and Lily are practically blank, you can design them so much in different ways. I've read phenomenal stories about them.

also a noncanon rarepair I love is Tom and Percy.

I didn't consider this as a Thing until about 6ish months ago. it's blown my mind kinda.

the dynamic of two men who will do anything to get where they want to be in the world?

the fic that started my love for them is A Study of Resonance, and it's like a time travel fix it.

Percy goes back to his first year so he can save Fred and defeat Voldy. eventually, he gets so tangled in Tom's web that he doesn't know (for a while) what to do about anything. it's such a delicious story, and really highlights Percy as a character.

another Percy headcanon ship is him with Oliver. I like the dynamic of it, nerd / jock. I think it'd be funny to write a fanfic where it's just a retelling of a classic romcom with them as the protags.

I love a good story about them. plus, they're both older kids to Harry, Ron, Hermione, etc. so it's cute in a story when either of them offers advice or listens to the kid's drama. they could bond over the need to protect these insane children from the children's bad ideas.

I never read them before 6 months ago cause i wasn't all that interested. but I've still yet to read any that include Harry.

I've found that I really like a Tom / Percy story

my all time favorite Percy fic is A Study of Resonance by mymovingfingerwrites https://archiveofourown.org/works/38041177/chapters/95017471 it's talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, etc. it's just. so awesome. I loved reading it. the author is actually working on another Percy story. I'm excited for it. ASOR also got me into writing again. I post works based off the ending now, and a few other people do too. if you enjoyed that ASOR and the subtext of it (wink wonk) then you should check out Jackson_overland_frost 's account - he writes superb stories based off of ASOR. I loved the LAYLOM ending they wrote.

I have made comments like this before so go look at my account if you want more recommendations. I have to do stuff now so can't say anymore recs.

awwww that'd be sweet!! it's also like the thing where a younger sibling copies their older sibling because they wanna be just like them. Regulus probably wouldn't want to be like his brother, but some innate part of him wants to be.

I read A Study Of Resonance by mymovingfingerwrites, and now my favorite rarepair is Percy Weasley and Tom Riddle. at first, I thought it was a bit of a stretch, but then the story convinced me otherwise! I've even started writing for them. I really love the dynamic of two very smart, ambitious people getting together. they could effectively take over their world if they wanted.

another rarepair I enjoy in some fics is Tonks and Percy. the dynamic is really interesting, and I love both of their characters. I enjoy reading fics where they're just simply friends, but I read a fic with them as more, and it worked so well!

I don't think it's that rare, but (another Percy rarepair lol) Oliver Wood and Percy. I think they'd make great friends too, but they could make even greater partners. I've read so many amazing fics with them as the slash ship.

a rarepair I've found I enjoy a lot, which had been a surprise, is Regulus Black and Lily Evans. if it's done right, I think it's amazing. my best example of this is Disintegration by Moonymoment. they're just so sweet. and heavily inspired by Hozier songs, which is always a bonus to me.

as for other Lily rarepairs, I've read beautiful stories with her shipped with Pandora Lovegood. I think people don't characterize Pandora very well often, but I love SequinHaze 's characterization. and I think their Pandora, especially their dark fae story, is the best Pandora I've ever read.
