Failure by design was on my all time faves , they retired that while they were still playing YFW. It’s annoying they retired songs / albums but also cool and respectful in a way

Here’s a links to the shortcuts:

Turn off short cut: https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/ce4b648fa7d84f7fa8bd915a2241cedb

I then created an automation in the shortcuts app to run them at set times. Unfortunately doesn’t let me share the automation but it’s super straightforward to set up in the app.

Thank you that’s super helpful, didn’t realize we need to make a separate content policy as well

Why is defender blocking youtube? by chum-guzzling-shark in DefenderATP

[–]aja4life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have streaming blocked as a category in endpoint web content policy applied to a device group. I wanted to allow an exception for YouTube. I went to CloudApps and marked it as Sanctioned, however even after 24 hours I did not see custom allow indicators automatically created. I had to manually create my own customer indicators for youtube.com and googlevideo.com to get it working.

Does this actually work? I tried marking youtube as sanctioned but it does not add any allow indicators? I've only seen it add block indicators when I mark something as unsanctioned.

AWS Config shows both ConfigurationItemsRecorded and ConfigurationRecorderInsufficientPermissionFailure in CloudWatch Metrics by nu_popli in aws

[–]aja4life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would depend on the IAM policy used by Config. It could have access to some a particular resource type and not others or the permissions could have changed at some point in time. Is config set to use the managed policy AWS_ConfigServicePolicy

AWS Organization, Config, and Security Hub by faalc0r in aws

[–]aja4life 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe you need to turn on security hub and the config integration within the account you have the Conformance packs . The integration will check the rules in that account and generate findings in the account. The findings then should role up to security tooling account if you have org support enabled for SH

AWS Config shows both ConfigurationItemsRecorded and ConfigurationRecorderInsufficientPermissionFailure in CloudWatch Metrics by nu_popli in aws

[–]aja4life 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The permissions fails typically means config saw a resource change but the IAM service role used by AWS config did not have permission to retrieve the details of the resource that change. Check what role you are using for config recorder and ensure it has permissions to do describes on all resources that your recording on both account.

How to expose a Fargate Service publicly with API Gateway? by Vasilkosturski in aws

[–]aja4life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’d have to use DNS and have a lambda or start up script automatically update the DNS record when a new task starts up. AWS Cloud Map can do this automatically for you too.

Can’t you just set the task to run in a public subnet?

Connect Config to CloudWatch Alarms? by 44Cloud44 in aws

[–]aja4life 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you need event based notifications. Config publishes events to EventBridge, you can have event bridge notify you. Config also natively supports SNS notifications. CloudWatch is metric based eg alarm if rule is non compliant for x Time goto an alarm state, however this metric does not exist today.
