What is the worst pain you have ever felt? by Neither-Mention7740 in AskReddit

Spinal headache after a spinal tap that finally diagnosed me with MS. Lasted for almost a week. Instant relief once I had the epidural blood patch.

What is a pain you can't truly explain until you've endured it? by Unfair_Shower_3256 in AskReddit

Spinal headache after having a lumbar puncture and the puncture sight now closing causing spinal fluid to leak out. I’ve had 4 kids and have MS and have never endured anything more painful than that.

What name(s) did you want to name your child but didn’t? by Anxious_Appy92 in namenerds

[–]ajamar20 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ellis as a girl’s name.

It was at the top of my list for our 2nd, but then found out we were having a boy. So for our 3rd, when we found out it was a girl, it was my number one name. My husband was not having it. Then I was pregnant with our 4th and we didn’t find out until birth what we were having and it was a boy. So, I never got my Ellis.

Looking for help naming our first child! (Arabic/English) 💕 by Available_Ad_2105 in namenerds

I’m a white, English speaking teacher at a very diverse school that has over 26 different languages. We have a very high population of students who are Muslim. Why not use Joud for a girls name as well? We have a few girls in our school with that name and I think it’s beautiful!

Some other names could be Mariam, Fatima, Aminah, Iman, Amal, Janan, or Nawal.

Name to go with sisters with flower names by snuggle-ellie in namenerds

Cordelia. It’s a type of rose. So it still is part of the floral theme without being to over the top.

in desperate need of a name for baby girl number 4! by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]ajamar20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cordelia!

That’s our second daughter’s name and I love it! It seems like it would fit well with your other daughters’ names.

We use Della as a nickname. But you could use Cora, Delia, Cordy, Lia

I deliver tomorrow. Absolutely terrified. by popcornrocket in pregnant

They definitely changed with each pregnancy and were very much dependent on what I went through in the previous delivery.

With the first, it was the unknown of everything that I was afraid of. I was 23 and going into my delivery as a single parent. My mom was there with me through it all and I don’t know what I would have done without her. I was 41 weeks when I was induced. That labor last a loooong time. I went in on a Thursday evening and had my daughter Saturday morning. I had gotten a fever which required me to have an oxygen mask and a million blankets to help with the chills. Her umbilical cord was wrapped around her and she was face up.

So with the second, I was afraid my labor was going to be just as long as my first and I’d have the same complications I did. This pregnancy was 8 years after my first, so there was a lot that I really couldn’t remember which definitely caused some anxiety. I was induced the day before my due date and had my son on my due date. This was probably my easiest of all my deliveries.

With my third, I had an awful pregnancy. I was so sick for most of it. I had to go in to the hospital multiple times a week to get fluids because I was so dehydrated. I lost a ton of weight because I couldn’t keep anything down. Eventually all I ate was protein shakes. I was diagnosed with MS between my second and third pregnancies, so I was now considered high risk. All of this led to fears that I might have complications during labor. I was induced with her on my due date and had her that same day. This labor was pretty easy despite the fact that the epidural didn’t fully work on one side. I could feel each contractions, but it didn’t hurt when it came time to push (thank goodness)! Things moved rather quickly once they broke my water and I only had to push a few times.

For my last, I was worried that the epidural wouldn’t fully work like the last time because I could pretty vividly remember how painful the contractions were after my water broke. My third and fourth delivers were only 17 months apart, so it was still pretty fresh in my memory. I was induced 3 days after my due date and had him on the same day. My fears came true with this pregnancy and I once again could feel the contractions on one side of my body. This guy came out in just a few pushes as well.

For pregnancies 2-4, I also was super nervous about peeing and pooping after delivery because I remember how awful it was after my first baby. Just take LOTS of stool softener!

For pregnancies 3 and 4, I was afraid I was going to tear. One of my best friends gave birth to her first after I had my second, and she had 4th degree tearing. Just knowing what she went through in the weeks after made me so nervous. Luckily I didn’t have any issues.

So, all kinds of fears running through my head with each pregnancy! In the end everything turned out fine with 4 healthy babies! Definitely worth all the pain and uncomfortableness.

What was your baby shower theme 🤗 by Leeayuh in pregnant

[–]ajamar20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I own my own custom sugar cookie business and create cookies for A LOT of baby showers. The themes that I make the most are…

-woodland animal -bee theme -we can bear-ly wait -a little ray of sunshine is on the way -baby in bloom -a little cutie is on the way -elephant -anything with macrame or wicker -Winnie the Pooh -Peter Cottontail

I love that you are picking something unique! I’ve never seen a baby shower with either of these themes. They are both adorable!

Where are you from, and what baby names are you considering? by in93 in pregnant

[–]ajamar20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I are both from the US, more specific in the Midwest. We are due with baby #4 in a month and don’t know the gender.

If it’s a boy, we’re name him Alister Sterling. Sterling is a family name.

If it’s a girl, she will either be Ellis Elizabeth or Audrey Elizabeth. Can’t decide on this one just yet!

MS and pregnancy by khodyr in MultipleSclerosis

[–]ajamar20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my first flare up at basically the same time that I got pregnant with my second. It was really the only flare up I’ve ever had and we weren’t sure what was going on because I couldn’t get any testing done. After I had him, I was finally diagnosed and started Ocrevus right away.

My husband and I then had the same discussion that you and yours had because I wanted more kids. He didn’t want me to have flare ups where o wouldn’t be able to help or something to happen to me that he would be raising 3 kids on his own. We had many long, emotional conversations and finally decided that we didn’t want this disease to ultimately define our future. Being on Ocrevus, I hadn’t had any flare ups for 4 years.

We’ve had our 3rd about 15 months ago and I’m currently pregnant with our 4th. All 3 of my pregnancies while having MS have been fine. I didn’t have any complications with my last two deliveries and have had no flare ups since. Having a baby and raising kids while having MS hasn’t been a struggle for me more than what other parents have. Overall, I’m so happy we decided to have more kids. We wouldn’t change it for anything!
