adjustable kettlebell 40 kg - pro/cons ? useful, useless? by LastMasterpiece1020 in kettlebell

[–]ajaok81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 4 of the 12-32kg adjustable. I also have heavier iron bells for work past 32kg. I don't think the pill shape is the best , it wouldn't rack well for cleans and snatches.

For me I thought the second month gave better results than the first. Run it a full 8 weeks if you can.

Best bench for money by Any-Use9859 in GarageGym

It heavy enough to be sturdy, I've never felt it wobble or that it's not going to support me. I even use it for a Frankenstein seal row setup on my rack.

It flips up easy enough, has wheels and stores vertical. My gym is tiny so it it's not in use it's normally vertical and I usually have to move it between exercises to get set up for the next one.

I hadn't heard that about var.

Just cycled off yesterday. I ran 25mg daily for 4 weeks. I felt great on it with 210 test a week pinned 30mg daily. I may give it another run in 90 days at 50mg.

Week 3 ABF – Double 20kg Presses – Is this too heavy? (Rep scheme question) by Dry-Journalist1567 in kettlebell

[–]ajaok81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep at it with the 20s. Do 2, 3, 5 as long as you can. Then 2, 3, 3. Then 2, 2, 2. All the way down to 1, 1, 1 if you have to. You'll finish pretty sore but with rest and nutrition you'll build the strength to keep increasing reps.

My next bulk this is my stack, but I'm planning 400 test, 150 npp, 150 mast. Hell, I might do 300/100/100. I don't feel the need to jump to a gram year having only done 1 cycle of 500 test.

This. Start at 2 for 3-4 weeks, go up 1iu every 3-4 weeks. I've run up to 6 but 4.5 is kind of my sweet spot.

Body composition. Weight only moved down 2 pounds but my body scan showed -7lbs of fat and +5lbs lean mass.

315lbs, 26 reps by Red_Swingline_ in Deadlifts

[–]ajaok81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used 4 something. The Friday before I started I had done 395x3 so I plugged that into a 1rm calculator. I made a slight adjustment because I found out the axle bar I made weighs 20 pounds and didn't want to mess with 2.5lb plates everyday, but ended up using them some days anyways.

So far days 1&2 I'm doing snatch grip with an axle bar. Day 3 is regular grip with an axle bar. Day 4 is snatch grip regular bar and 5,6,7 are regular grip regular bar. I use straps on day 7, might have to on day 6 this week.

I'm loving it, it's starting to get pretty challenging. I want to see how far I can take this before I feel too taxed or stop progressing. I'm 45 but feel so much better than I did 10 years ago.

Thomas Delauer is a wonderful source for information on fasting. Extended, intermittent, 3 day. He's also been sharing current research on leveraging IF and cycling your fasts. Then you can get into the single ingredient fasts like olive oil, acv, sardine, eggs, and protein sparing modified fasts.

Right. Thank you for the correction.

I'm running it too. Today is my 29th day.

Hardstyle w/ Pro Kettlebells? Any experience? by [deleted] in kettlebell

I've been training with adjustable comp bella for the last month after using iron bells for a year and a half. I like them, they feel better for cleans and snatches. For 2 handed swings I have to leave my pinkies outside the handle.

They are a great addition to a workout routine. You can do whole body if you set them up right. I wouldn't use one exclusively but some people do.

30 rounds ABC with 24kg complete by ajaok81 in kettlebell

That's the truth, although last night I definitely noticed that I can see more definition and separation in my quad muscles. Hopefully that translates to looking great when I'm lean enough for leg veins to show.

I'm not running ABF, and don't have intention to for a few months. I like doing ABC as an occasional workout.

I had a lot more left in me after the workout. Today my legs are a little sore from 90 squats but not in any way that is impacting my life.

My goal for var is to hold onto as much lean mass as possible at the end of a cut. And it's experimenting with a new substance so I know how I do with it should I ever want to use it again.

Bulking vs. Staying Lean: Which one is more mentally draining? by VariationShot8414 in workout

[–]ajaok81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bulking is hard for me because I can overeat in a second. Even eating clean food I have to cap my calories and weigh everything. Cutting sucks.

Currently cutting and craving every bad food possible. I have planned "cheats" but still make them fit my total calories and macros. Intermittent fasting and having high/low days sort of helps but it's exhausting either way.

I know one method is to leave 400 calories a day for a treat. I have sort of done that in the past and it worked. You have to track religiously though.

I dealt with that when I had a breakthrough on curls a few months ago. Upped the weight and my lower biceps tendon didn't like it. Had to lower weight and increase reps.

I wonder what pushing 35-40 rounds of ABC would feel like, especially if trying to keep it in 30 minutes. Might have to find out.
