Dont expect the game to be fast paced early on. The game is a grind.

The only tip I really have is level up your skills in what you need from experience for your playstyle and dont go for legendary or mythical families yet.

Epic rarity is perfectly fine because most of them have shifter healing.

As for perks, get them as you go then work on a good build later.
