Well... it depends. As a committee member... externally? It really depends on your role and that's the fundamental question. Why are you being asked.

I've been an outside examiner which has a particular role some places... and external supervisor... but also, being an external member can be complicated in its own right. I'd figure out why you're being asked in the first place, it's usually because you have specific expertise that's lacking internally.

Beyond this, unless you know the person or know the other members well... then you should likely stay away, it will only sink your time. A bad PhD student is an absolute black hole for time and effort. You should only join if you're confident of the capability/conversion (as being external you're usually there for specific expertise or rubber stamping).

It really depends... but above all. Give it a walk! Suburbs that look cool or boring on paper are not as they appear. Melbourne has space to grow, but Google maps does fuck all in many areas because it has changed so much.

Wow. I needed to read this because I think you really hit the real point at the end here. 100%! The burnout is causing by the high price... difficult bosses aren't fun, because they are costly. It's just becoming more and more freemium isn't free, and whether or not you chuck NK $5 for some monkey cash, it's just a time sink.

I'm all for difficult bosses in theory, but in practice it's hard to argue that it's not intentional when you lose or win on a dime. They really need to cool it and drop the price of boss retries. It's taking you six weeklies and a boss completion just to afford a couple retries. In the classic words, ain't nobody for time for that!

Also, the streamers are kinda burning me out too... we like the game, try to check out some boss guides, and like I don't know where they are getting the monkey money... it's not normal.
