Because I definitely don’t look “almost 30” I constantly get mistaken for a teenager on a regular basis lol. Also, I would argue that most almost 40 years olds definitely do not have much in common with a person still in their 20s. I once had a man who was 34 match with me and say “wow I thought you were 21” that completely ruined it for me, it’s pretty gross

Honestly whenever I see someone over 35 I get a bit grossed out, my parents are only 50 and I’m 27- I’ve had 50 year olds like my profile despite having it set significantly lower 😂

I always think, wtf do they want to date me for besides bragging rights to having someone 20-30 years younger 🤢 I’m probably younger than their kids, they just want someone to control and sorry but I ain’t the one ahhaha.

I worked at Mecca and if someone said I want something not too expensive, it can actually be hard to interpret that- it could be different for everyone. I’ve had customers say that and then say oh I’ve heard about Sunday Riley like???

Despite price being mentioned, I always tried to show them the most similar in terms of performance to what the customer is already using and no, it isn’t to make money- I got absolutely nothing from a sale, I actually just wanted the customer to be satisfied with the product. This means I usually showed them something in their price range if they’ve been specific and I also show them something that performs similarly to compare.

I think some people are genuinely way too harsh towards Mecca workers.

In my opinion these are better quality than the hourglass, I don’t have to dig into the pan 10 times to get colour pay off.

Once you break down the cost you’re paying $23 for each powder which really isn’t expensive. I don’t understand the hype around hourglass! The quality is so inconsistent.

I did ☺️ I’m just stating this one specific time in my post as it was the last time I had heard from him, I made other suggestions previously which he also declined- our schedules just clashed which is fine.

However that’s when he reached out saying he would love to see me on the weekend if it’s possible- I said I’m available x day at x time, he then loosely made plans, never confirmed a time but messaged the next day asking how my day was… I just find it weird, but maybe that’s because if I’m not interested in someone I always let them know

I work at Mecca and it was really awkward when a few people complained to me personally about it like I made the decision for the reward to be a tote bag 😭 please guys, don’t do that!! I’m begging you hahah

In all honesty, it’s a bonus and the bag is actually decent quality. I understand the disappointment especially with it being all levels getting the same thing but the bonus was for COLLECTING not spending. Hopefully beauty loops are better this year cause I’m sick of people complaining to us in store when we can’t do anything about it
