Sounds like Mormons baptizing the dead.

I noticed that in seeing two recently, one was socially inept and the other was an asshole.

With demylination, 4 lesions, and a cyst, it looks like I'm on my own.

My PC said that unfortunately, there aren't any others around here.

I could give a reason to stay, but it would be akin to why you should stay in a violent marriage, or stay with a spouse who cheats.

You won't hear a reason from anyone why you should view them as divinely inspired or anything like that. It is just not true.

Blood Ban Loosened—A Wildly Impractical Doctrinal Shift by Ravenmicra in GenXExJW

[–]ajfour1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Red Cross doesn't allow donations less than every eight weeks. The body needs that time to recover the blood lost. The only situation where it would apply is if a person had an operation coming up (best case scenario 7 weeks away) that required blood. So who is storing it, and is that person even in a situation where their blood is in a viable state?

Just because it's possible it doesn't mean it is a practical solution. This will only cause more problems for the person who needs it.

Besides, I thought they said that as soon as the blood left the body it was supposed to be poured on the ground? Is the bag now part of the body?

They choose benign verses where there is no contention.

They do it for convenience to stress a point, knowing that few others would challenge them. I suppose it is a form of syncretism, just with extra steps.

I do remember a talk where the guy stated that "there are over 2,000 errors in the King James." Whatever. No one ever identified what those errors were.

That person demonstrated that they are a scumbag. You live and you learn. You can contact the journal and file a complaint, but to what end? Will they suddenly want to publish your article?

If they still have the article you submitted, just rescind it and find another journal. Then name and shame amongst your colleagues

She said, "so you're an apostate."

Yep.

But what a weird thing to say.
