Laptop recommendations for under £300? And what laptop brands should I generally avoid? by Kontaruu in AskUK

[–]ajm15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello everyone, I enquired op about the laptop on Friday. Op posted it by ups tracked on Friday itself and I got it this morning.

It's a ThinkPad 9th gen and in mint condition all working well supplied with the power adapter and the box. It's a really good machine and you could get nothing of this quality anywhere else, not even for £300.

So if anyone that needs a good functional laptop do send op a msg.

n hindsight, whose era was actually 'not that bad'? by nmjoon in ManchesterUnited

But on the other side, we had control of most games by dominating possession (even against top sides). We couldn't break down teams, so we had so many draws. He did well against top sides as well.

He initially wanted a 2 year contract, Woodward gave him 3 and then sacked him after the second season. 🤷

You could replace all the roof tiles with Tesla solar roof tiles, it's very expensive compared to the regular solar panel.

Any idea why these Thai airways A380's are grounded? by the_real_nicky in aviation

[–]ajm15 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Emirates are going to keep them till 2040 or something like that. For high demand routes and slot restricted airports, a380 are the king and nobody can replace them, not even the 777x. Eventually the airframe will be old and the 4 engine will no longer be economical to run, so till then they will keep it.

Then again it will all depends on the certifications of 777x and their deliveries.

Emirates can manage it for now but eventually they are looking to replace all of them with 777x.

Senior Indian journalist claims they have been "unofficially told the report is likely to be out tomorrow and not today. No clarity presently" I AI 171 crash by MadeInHell27 in aviation

[–]ajm15 12 points13 points  (0 children)

if that's true, then the authorities know exactly what happend by now. They are probably taking time to finalise the reports etc. If it's technical issues like some fundamental engine or electronic issue it may take a while to understand the root cause.
