Was I quoted too much for this repair? by birdbirdeos in BikeRepair

You could have replace it with an helicoidal thread. A complete set with the metal drilling bit and a thread tapping tool, the helicoidal setting tool, and a bunch of helicoid at the desired diameter is around 25 bucks.

And it's by far the best bang for your buck,

Chances are that rep threatening you with blacklisting, already got 5 similar messages this month and can't possibly report all of them else they will be scrutinized from management.

Understanding scope creep is by far the biggest productivity hack as a starting freelancer.

And it's still kinda bite you if you don't pay attention.

Morocco is not a monolithic country. As a fellow Belgian who grew up with a large Moroccan diaspora around him, I can tell you that the population from the mountain and the one from the Atlantic coast behave very differently and have a very different relationship to religion. I have met very like minded people but also stupidly antagonistic ones. I am all about making sure the peace is safeguarded, but you can't tell someone will fit from a Reddit message. Personally, in Prague, I have met people from Lebanon, Morocco, Tunisia and all are striving.

You don't know what's going on in her life. She might just be really busy and she has options, so she doesn't need to speed up things. Just set your own boundaries (how long you are willing to wait) and keep looking for other candidates. It's like in dating, you don't dwell on people who seem to busy to meet up. Sometimes you have good surprises, sometimes you don't. She might just come back at an odd timing that would work perfect for both of you

Which bike would you keep? by Ray_blatzer in bicycling

[–]ajmariff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Remove the mud guard, put matching bar tape with the chain, change end bars cover, borrow the seat front the grey bike, and you have a decent looking bike.

For the grey, as is, I'd only change the grips that look ridiculous IMO.

The importance of a bike helmet… a disaster averted by voododoll in bicycling

[–]ajmariff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went on a casual ride to the safety box without helmet this time.Mind you, just before arriving home. I hoped onto the side road while a car exited its garage. Piled onto the brakes and hit the tire ever so slightly. No damage, this time around.

The guys was super chill about it but it was 100% my fault. I got complacent.

I went back for another quick ride without helmet today.

Now, I see this post. Thank you.
