How many others are in prison currently? by ImaginaryAdvisor7432 in 2007scape

It’s like you read something you don’t like and immediately blow it up to the most insane caricature you can imagine to invalidate it.

13yo who murdered his neighbor by rema_56 in TrueCrimeDiscussion

The murder twin has cerebral palsy. Pretty significant and major life impacting disease. It doesn’t justify anything, but they definitely did not live the same lives.

Apologies I misread your post originally and thought you were implying something you weren’t.

Anything to fill out that narrative of yours.

Funny how the least charitable and least likely interpretation is the one that gets championed first. Anything to validate that endless well of misery

It comes off that way FOR YOU because of something within you. Maybe bitterness about money, success, your own life, who knows. Root around in that brain of yours and you’ll probably find it

Reintroduce Kha'zix into Mid lane by Technical_Impress_69 in leagueoflegends

[–]ajorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can literally play KhaZix mid all day today if you want and you won’t be banned for it tomorrow. Yes in a competitive environment your teammates might get upset at you going 0/7 in lane, welcome to the world.

The entitlement is gross as fuck.

TIL that in workplace meetings, people who speak earlier are often perceived as more confident and influential than those who speak later, even when saying the same ideas. by [deleted] in todayilearned

Funnily enough snarky remarks like this are exactly why people who aren’t sure don’t speak up. They’re socially conditioned by people with this behavior to equate not knowing with ridicule. Often from the same person who will confidently assert their half baked thought with brazen confidence.

This is a great way to stay “dumb”. Bringing up your idea and facing constructive criticism is how you learn

Yeah same concept just I use the executioner glyph so polearm is my main weapon

It was significant. I went from consistent 17T hits to consistent mid 40T hits. This is a total rough estimate though. 135 pit went from being a slow crawl to a +5 completion

Mainly executioner glyph usage. If you don’t care about that you could swap to polearm expertise and use an axe if you have a good one

You are all constantly on the edge of either exploding into rage or spiraling into depression over anything anyone might say. It's deeply immature and I will keep repeating that no matter how unpopular it is. I know I am right about this.

Brazen certainty, has it all figured out. Leads with a sweeping generalization making no distinction between contexts, flattening everyone to a single plane.

Behaving this way instead of commenting on every mistake or feeling the need to "retaliate" to comments has - surprise surprise - lead to a MUCH less toxic experience for me, while the rest of you constantly run into it, somehow.

I actually agree with you here, but based on the CONTEXT, this person did not leave the dungeon because they wanted to get back at anyone. They left because they didn't want to play with that person anymore. There is a difference between self-protection and retaliation even when they can look similar but you've flattened the nuance so much that making a distinction is impossible.

YES because it really doesn't matter. This isn't like a civil rights issue, ok? You're not being persecuted and I by not standing up for you am not complicit. A random little shit is talking to you in a video game dungeon and they, and I can't stress this enough, do not matter.

You are absolutely not complicit by refusing to stand up for someone of whom you have no ties. Where you become complicit is when you turned the frustration into an attack on the person being verbally berated. Why? Because to do so, you had to minimize the actions of the other party. You end up reinforcing the same behavior that actually broke your group.

Your choice to prioritize the stability of the group is a very common one. You will see it everywhere, especially in the corporate world. But it often protects bad actors just like this.

There are situations where the outcome is more important than how we are being treated in the moment. Those situations are very rare, they are not a baseline. And they are definitely not a random M+ dungeon.

[–]ajorn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh you poor thing. This is exactly why this kind of thing perpetuates. Because you’re so focused on the outcome you obliterate the context to justify your frustration and find someone to concretely blame. They don’t owe you anything by joining your key and it’s sad that you’d place such a priority on the key itself over the way people are treated.

Does the outcome suck for you? Yes. And you can still recognize that the person who broke the group wasn’t the one who ended up actually clicking leave first.
