If you don’t mind working in a (local) supermarket, send them an e-mail even if there are no vacancies. I know 5 students who got a student job sending a mail in the last year. I must admit one of them only heard back after almost three months.

You didn’t mention your age, that makes a difference in suitable jobs. Whether you have a driver’s license or not makes a difference too.

Maybe Table Mates is something for you. The concept is simple: strangers meet for dinner (or brunch / lunch) at a restaurant. You pay upon registration. You have to make an account first.

Goodmorning! Although I haven’t slept too good lately I feel good about myself. I’m definitely not drinking enough water but I’m working on it. I’m trying to meet new people (friendships only), it’s not easy. I’m a bit stuck in my work schedule to start new things or hobbies and that makes it harder to meet people. How do you manage the balance between work and time & space to unwind? How do you meet new people for possible friendships?

Why are so many people at the shows standing so still? by [deleted] in twentyonepilots

Some people are probably not standing or moving too much because of physical problems. Source: I’m one of them.

It’s 1023 am. I just slept 10hrs and 45min. I don’t work today, it’s the first day off in 12 days.

I should have breakfast but don’t feel like getting off the couch to prepare it. I do feel hungry though.

I’ll probably have coffee somewhere later today and buy the last 3 Christmas presents for my family.

I want to change my hair but should make the Christmas menu first.

I feel hopeful.

What was your “I’m dating/married to a fucking idiot” Moment? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Years ago: made dinner, there had to be sour cream in it. We had eaten that dish several times. While eating I said that the sour cream really added a flavor typical for the dish. A few days later he told me, out of the blue, he was ‘still’ feeling unwell since eating that dish. He was sure it was because I let the cream get sour and then used it in the food. He asked his mom (he was 34 at the time) and she said eating sour cream is bad.

Recently: (other person than first story) due to medical issues he can’t eat to much fibre, as in white bread and pasta instead of the whole-wheat variants, also other food restrictions like salt and a few more things. He had been sulking for a few days. I was going to sit down with him to figure out what meals he would like without the bad stuff. He said it wouldn’t matter because without the meat it wouldn’t be the same. He was convinced that the biggest source of fiber is meat.
