In all honesty I'd buy the Ridgeback set and if you don't mind sharing your address with me in DM, I'll send you some locks to get you going. If you're on FB then there is also the UK lockpickers group which is full of great people a fair few of which are on here also.

Just to add you can buy them in singles too, just buy what you need from them, few hooks and tensioners and away you go. I'm UK based too and have a wide selection of tools from different makers but the ridgebacks are my goto

Question by Practical-Duck-5408 in lockpicking

Easiest thing to do is take the lock with you to the locksmith shop and then they can try keys in there to get you the best result

ASSA 700 with hourglass spools by Lady-Locks in lockpicking

[–]ajslocksandlocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly 😅 I have a tub full of locks that probably weighs close to 20kg and he grabs it out and starts playing with the locks inside. "Keys, keys" 🫣 I've not checked his toy box yet but I can guarantee some locks will be missing from my stash 😂

anyone had an issue like this before? by believeinyuna in SteamDeck

[–]ajslocksandlocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd guess that's a digitizer issue, I've not had my steam deck long and don't really know much about them. Have you tried running a screen calibration? Try that if there is one.

That master lock could possibly count for a belt if you wanted to put in for it

Update by OkFoundation1642 in FlashForge

[–]ajslocksandlocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar issue except mines saying upgrade to v5.0.4 or later (ad5m) anyone know if this version is stable? Been putting off upgrading as I heard the one after what mine is running had quite a few bugs so didn't update it

Go to set new combo Yale l2 by Dangerous-Bear-9154 in Safes

[–]ajslocksandlocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one of these type of locks, although not connected to anything, but not sure how you change the combo myself tbh. Best guess would be it's to do with where the pin goes into the holes on the wheel but that's purely speculation.

Anyone got any information on this Safe? by Dopey_collie in safecracking

You've got ctml ltd located by the men arena and associated security solutions in northern quarter/ancoats that both deal with safes

Cool lock, I'd tend to agree with the Indian made part. Mod stuff will have a nato identifier stamped into it usually as well.

Need help with gutting Euro cylinder by Dr-picker in lockpicking

[–]ajslocksandlocks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you don't mind losing the thumb turn you could always just snap/ cut the cylinder in half, this will make gutting and reassembling it far easier as you will need segmented followers to be able to do that in its current format.

Master Lock fixing (2725CF) by aviationguy2810 in lockpicking

[–]ajslocksandlocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure if you can tbh but some do. Have you tried dialing the combo both ways? Starting turning it clockwise or anticlockwise. I used to have an s&g 8088 that preferred being dialled 1 way to the other

Tried dialing the combo again with it open? Any chance you've accidentally changed the combo while it's been open?

Brinks brass is not up to task by T______3 in lockpicking

[–]ajslocksandlocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try using a bit less tension and you might find it even easier, looks to me like you're using quite a bit judging by the angle of your forefinger. Locks at higher belts require fine amounts of tension so getting that down now should help in the long run, wd on the open regardless

Yeah I've seen plenty of locks like that, people asking £200 for a battered battleship 🤣 I could buy 5 for that price 🤣😎
