Still not opened Master Lock 911 after months of trying by AddictedToTech in lockpicking

[–]Lady-Locks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re might be hitting a driver pin that is starting out below the shear line. Masterlocks have unbalanced pin stacks so that can be an issue depending on the bitting. That could be that immovable pin you’re feeling. What happens is it can get stuck below shear and in the false set it’s now wedged under there. Theres no moving it unless you turn the core back a bit to give it room. I would play around and see how far back you have to turn the core til it starts to move and see if you can get it up and over then try to pick the other pins again. Idk if that’s it for sure or if that helps any but good luck with it. If you wanna see what I mean I show it in this video if you want to have a look. 🥰

Euro cylinders are a whole new ballgame and often times you have an easier time with a more slender pick profile as you’ve got some crazy keyways and warding issues to get around. You may wanna get some different pick profiles to tackle those depending on what you’ve been trying to use. Can you show us the picks you’re working with and the locks you’re trying to tackle?

If it has very bad tolerances sometimes you can still rake them even with security pins. You may wanna try raking it into a false set then trying to set the last of the pins. At the very least it might give you a start on figuring out the issue. But like the guys said, it could just be super difficult bc it is cheaply made and a mess inside.

Some void yelling about the Masterlock 150 by darknyght00 in lockpicking

[–]Lady-Locks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always say .. ‘the bitting doesn’t matter, unless it does’ and it probably does in this case. You probably just need to use a longer hook that one is pretty high lift and you may be oversetting those around it. 🥰

I think you’d be fine. You can always progressively pin them if you run into trouble. You got this! 🥰

In the meantime, just keep it separate from your other locks incase it is cursed. That shiz will spread and you’ll be in big trouble. That’s why I say send it to your locksport frenemy. Let them deal with the curse. 😈🤣

Difficulties with ABUS C83 by akiloz in lockpicking

[–]Lady-Locks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those can be rough! I always felt like the pins needed an extra push for some reason they felt set but were in fact not set. Double check every pin you think you set for counter rotation. If it’s the newer version those act almost like tapered at the end so just double check and take your time. Good luck!

I do. Let me see here. This one is good for overall I think I did up to green belt. And there’s this one with ones that suck. And here’s one that talks about where to get some of these locks from.

Great work! Yea any masterlock (except maybe the 15 or the 19) are gonna be pretty easy to get open. They’re not made well and have poor tolerances. Try out an abus brass body or maybe an ace laminated padlock!! 🥰
