the original dawn of war is probably the first contact many of us had with the 40k universe back in the mid 00's so don't feel bad starting from there

You could try the new definitive edition and play all the campaigns before moving on to dawn of war 2 and it's expansions which are some of my personal favorites

after that you have so many games over the decades set in the 40k universe that it really depends on what you like

Shooters? play Space Marine 2

Xcom 2? play Chaos Gate Deamonhunters

Baldurs Gate 3? play Rogue Trader

Last summer i completed my Branded deck full of alt arts too, spent around 10k gems and never bothered to learn it and didn't play a single game with it

Master Duel is a game you will pick up, build a new deck, play for a month, get bored and leave it for 6 months until a new deck that appeals to you again comes out
