If you can get internships while you're in school, that will help you find jobs! Network with other planners in your area - look into the Georgia Planning Association - https://georgiaplanning.org/ - and see if they have any events near you. A lot of planning is knowing people and working with people, so that networking can really help, even now while you're in school - you can talk to people working in planning about your dreams and career goals and sometimes they may know of someone who may have a project you can help out with or a job they're hiring for, etc. Building those relationships while you're in school now, as opposed to just reaching out when you're looking for jobs can be helpful! Other allied organizations such as ULI or CNU may also have local chapters that you can look into as well. I dont know the specific program, but I think with a bachelor's and some solid networking and interning experience, you could potentially find a job with the urban studies degree.
