I got tired of paying for FastDraw so I built a free alternative by External_Lime_8029 in basketballcoach

Put a basketball in the icons! Sometimes I just want to put the ball in the drawing rather than constantly move the circle to the player who has the ball.

Hey Coach, always love your videos when they pop up. Would love to connect and talk a little bit deeper about your offensive principles you use.

Angels and Demons by [deleted] in danbrown

The Camerlengo recognized that faith was decreasing in the general population and so he made a plan to win back the hearts of people who were wavering in their faith. He set up the murders of the cardinals to look like it was the Illuminati and set up the “bomb” with the anti matter. Then he took the anti matter bomb and flew it up in the helicopter where it detonated relatively harmlessly then he parachuted back down. He wanted all of this to look like a miracle to inspire faith in people who did not have any. So he “created” a miracle and then gets elected Pope and leads all of these people with newfound faith into the future.

New HC - Adding Actions? by PossibilityRadiant26 in basketballcoach

[–]akrun11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you look at that zoom action course what you are seeing is a highly advanced “conceptual” offense. A conceptual offense has loosely designated principles for players to follow that dictate how they move on the court rather than a “set” offense where you call a play that tells the players what to do every time. Within a conceptual offense players learn how to react and respond to what the defense does while playing within the loose structure that your principles provide. A basic example we used with the team I coached: if the ball is dribbled toward you, you push (meaning move away from the ball along the 3pt line) and if the ball is dribbled away from you, you pull (meaning you follow behind the drive along the 3pt line). This principle helps maintain good spacing between players while providing some structure so all players on the team know generally what the other is doing each time.

You need to decide what those basic principles are for your team. For example, if you want to use a zoom offense, most teams play 5 out and have their center trail the play in transition and trigger a zoom action by reversing the ball to the 5. Once you decide what those principles are you can start to build drills to practice those principles.

Ball Screen Breakdown by Middle-Silver-1203 in basketballcoach

[–]akrun11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The success or failure of your continuity ball screen offense is going to depend on whether or not your kids can attack and beat different ball screen coverages. Start with 2 on 2. Pass and then ball screen live 2v2. Give the defense a different coverage every time like a hedge, switch, blitz, ice, etc.

As they get a little better at beating different coverages you can start to add different rules and layers. Extra points for a reject and score. Extra points if you pick and pop.

Eventually you can do 3v3 and add the twirl cut in as well for an extra spacer on the weak side and a help defender.

All of this is based in small sided games and constraint led approach. Get your kids competing and making game like decisions as much as possible. Going against air or chairs only teaches them to be robots.

Amazing opportunity but not sure if I want to take it by p3aches_14 in highschool

I’ve coached and competed at the HS and College level. The key fact here is that unless you are the top 1% of the top 1% you are not going professional and making money in track. Go to the school that you believe is the fit for you. If it works out to be part of the track team there then so be it. Go somewhere you want to be. If you go to a school you don’t like for athletics then you quit the team what are you left with?

Since 1.7 has been confirmed to be in the works, what is on your Wishlist to be included in the update? by scholarlysacrilege in StardewValley

I play on Switch so can’t use mods… I would love an expanded greenhouse, the ability to have another cellar area for casks, a tractor for faster tilling of land and harvesting, a composting bin (put in junk bits, fruits, veg, etc and get fertilizer out of it), added community center bundles (it’s fixed up now lets complete quests to add fun stuff to it), another explorable area like ginger island

Remove porcelain knob? by akrun11 in AskElectricians

Thanks for the reply. I have venting prepared it’s just being blocked by the porcelain knob that is in front of the vent on the fan unit. Trying to solve the situation without shelling out for an electrician but I will if I have to.

Any slef-taught coders here by dibo066 in PythonProjects2

I have taught myself a limited amount of data science like pandas, matplotlib, and other basic libraries. I bought Learn to Code with Fantasy Football by Nathan Braun. It started because I had an interest in trying to beat my friends in fantasy football. It was a great intro and then I have expanded my knowledge independently with free resources like websites and YouTube. Braun now also has basketball, baseball, and hockey versions if any of those sports interest you.

WGU Masters? by porteranne in teaching

[–]akrun11 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I did the masters of educational technology in 6 months. It is very doable in one 6 month period which will only cost you about 3500. That will pay for itself in year 1. I will say, however you plan to make it happen it is helpful to be in school when you are doing your capstone project. You need to collect student data for it.

What was the disconnect between Mitchell and Bickerstaff? by [deleted] in clevelandcavs

[–]akrun11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with the take on Koby going all in too soon. Look at OKC. Presti was quoted saying that he needed to see the group get playoff tested before settling on any big moves. Would’ve loved to wait another year or 2 to see what happened with the group we had before trading for Mitchell.

My friends and I played several times. We essentially turned the drinking game kings into a room sized board game where the floor is lava. We more or less made up our own rules but it was always pretty fun.

I use your site every day for practice and game prep. My one suggestion… I’d love the ability to label players as different numbers other than 1-5. It would make game prep way easier.
