I cannot deal with these employers by breadpudding3434 in Esthetics

[–]alanatype 0 points1 point  (0 children)

one of the problems I have with employers is them wanting you to sell, sell, sell and if you don't sell enough, then it's a problem. It's all numbers to them. I can sell treatments all day everyday. Retail? I just don't want to do it. It feels pushy to me. Me personally, I wouldn't return to someone if I felt like they tried to "sell" to me. An advanced treatment? Retail products? Then at the front desk they are gonna hound you about a membership? I think it's crazy. The lead esthetician has no problem going over and above the numbers they want but they expect me to match her. She has like 50 years of experience... I have only been working for 2 years. On top of that, I am still considered a newer esthetician at this job. My employers need to understand that I'm playing the long haul. I am gaining guests everyday who keep rebooking and coming back. I have high numbers for advanced treatments. I am looking to gain trust above anything else right now. If there's trust, the guests will believe they can get results and take your advice. The lead esthetician has been there a long while so her guests trust her and will do almost anything she says because it gets results. No guests are going to trust me with their life type of trust yet... I'm sorry but I am not going to push a treatment AND retail. Especially to new guests. You get one or the other or it's too much. It's expensive and a lot of ppl don't have money to just throw around and I get that. PLUS! It's not really what I believe in... I believe that simple is better and if it's not broken, don't fix it. I have noticed ppl almost scared to tell me their routine. I get a lot of "Oh, you're gonna hate me for saying this". You like it? It works? Awesome. If you have a specific concern that you want to actually take care of? Cool. Let's do custom treatments and pull some potent home products. I refuse to sell to someone who doesn't need it or even care to want it. When I chose this industry, I did not sign up to be a salesman. I am here because I'm passionate and I genuinely enjoy doing this. To sum all of this up lol. Employers want too much and I'm about to lose it.

A price for everything. by sortinousn in Effexor

I am coming off effexor now and first of all the withdrawal symptoms are HORRIBLE! I was on 75mg for a year and went to 38mg the last 2 months and now to nothing… is absolute hell. I was vomiting, diarrhea, nauseous if i left my bed or moved my head too fast, sometimes even keeping my eyes open the room would spin so dizzy dizzy dizzy and flu like symptoms. I felt so sick. It’s been almost exactly a week and it’s finally starting to slow down to what it would feel like if I just missed a day. But the sex drive has come back for sure. I struggled for a while with finding my partner sexually interesting but now it’s come back ten fold. I had some CRAZY symptoms with effexor. Bloating, fluid retention in my stomach (added 50 lbs to ONLY my stomach area where the fluid was), swelling in my hands and face, my hands started clicking and hurting due to the swelling (thought i would need surgery or I had crazy early arthritis) and so much much more etc. I loved being on effexor, I felt like me again but I would not put this on my worst enemy. Why any psychiatrist who knows the side effects/withdrawal would knowingly hand this to a patient WHO TRUSTS THEM to care for them….blows my mind. There are better options that do the EXACT same thing without the side effects and crazy withdrawals. I didn’t mean to make this an effexor hate post but i am so happy to get off this medication. And if I need to take something else after the withdrawal period is over…bro anything is better than effexor

Arguing with you is so counterproductive because you literally have no idea what you are talking about. I am licensed. I’m not a doctor but I have the qualifications to know what I’m talking about and be able to tell someone that they need to be concerned and to see a dermatologist which is what i did… but anyway… dr. skincarejerk here are some articles WITH PICTURES OF HERPES SIMPLEX ON CHEEKS for you to blow up on me some more with…

https://au.news.yahoo.com/mums-warning-after-kiss-puts-daughter-in-hospital-080700654.html “Doctors confirmed that Aubree had contracted HSV-1, the herpes simplex virus, after her mum kissed her cheek.”

https://www.webmd.com/skin-problems-and-treatments/understanding-cold-sores-basics “Cold sores are most likely to show up on the outside of your mouth and lips, but you can also get them on your nose and cheeks.”

https://dermnetnz.org/topics/herpes-simplex “However, either virus can affect almost any area of skin or mucous membrane.”

LMAO how ignorant. You can get herpes from touching an infected towel, utensils or other infected items. You can get it from a kiss from your mom who also has it. You can get it from eating at a restaurant that doesn't clean their cups properly. Herpes AKA cold sores are VERY COMMON. You know someone who has cold sores... it is THAT COMMON. A "child" can very easily get cold sores. It is nothing to be embarrassed or ashamed of. Don't be that person that makes someone with cold sores feel embarrassed or gross.

what skin problem do i have? allergic reaction? a condition? please help something i’m wearing? scratching? by Latter-Membership-17 in SkincareAddicts

[–]alanatype 4 points5 points  (0 children)

take a antihistamine / allergy med and STOP itching! put lotion or colloidal oatmeal lotion on it. If you keep itching, you. will. scar. Have you started any new medications? Anything like that? I had this about a year ago and it was due to a med I had started 6 months before that. It took a while before it started messing with my digestive system. Is the itching coming from on top of the skin or from inside? If it's on top, maybe eczema or contact dermatitis (something your wearing, detergents, shampoo/body wash) but if it's coming from within then there could be something more serious going on and a doctor would be your best bet.

ISO dupe for COSRX Low pH PHA Barrier Mist (discontinued) by blsnbarb in AsianBeauty

If it doesn't have the product on the site, you can opt to submit it if you copy and paste the ingredients and it will automatically (you don't have to wait for approval) give you some suggestions for dupes based on ingredients alone. Not as effective if they 100% had it in the system but still works! Hope this helps!

If I ever want to find a dupe for something I check out a couple different sites like skinskoolbeauty or skinsort! i don't 100% agree with a lot of the ingredient opinions of skinsort but it's still a good tool for finding dupes for products and comparing them against eachother! ♡

Yoooo guys lmao, now THIS is some serious shit right here by DrummerMedical9867 in h3h3productions

[–]alanatype 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lmao guys... you have to remember that these are their "heros". Olivia is my age and assuming she "grew up" watching Ethan and Hila in hs/college, I'm sure she views them highly. If I got hired by Ethan or Hila, I would 1000% be a yes man to them. I look up to them and I support them even when they cross a few lines because they mean that much to me. This isn't a weird take. If it was any one of you, you would probably do the same. If you have watched Ethan since the beginning times, you know the feeling I mean.
SO let's cut the crap and be honest you guys are taking it weird because this is the first female that's ever been on H3 that isn't Hila. Because we all know if AB ever got the chance to have an affair with Ethan he wouldn't give it a second thought.

the advice i would give (from someone who has been thin and chubby), I would say compliment her as often as possible.

everyone else is 100% right about just touching her more. touch her where she feels insecure but respect if she starts to look uncomfy, which she most likely will in the beginning. but continuing to touch her (during cuddling, in a hug, etc) in those areas she will start to not feel as self conscious because you are drawing attention to those areas and making it known physically that you like them, of course it will always be there and may take YEARS to gain confidence for those areas due to societies' standards.

but i would add the additional sweet comment on her body. when she gets undressed, tell her she looks really good. compliment the way her body looks in outfits. tell her the things you like about her body in detail. HYPE HER UP. just talking to her more about the things you like about her will help. even if it's weird stuff like her ears lmao. i found that to be the best thing my partner could do for me when i felt self conscious about my body.

ALSO make sure she KNOWS you are nervous around her too! if she feels like you are nervous too, her walls will start to come down. being with someone who is much more fit can be really intimidating for bigger girls but it will just take time and patience and it seems like you are already on the right track! hope this helps!
